My wife and I stayed for six nights here in our camper van. Easy access to the campsite from the west coming from Switzerland. Friendly reception staff. We were given a pitch number but told we could ask for another if we wanted. We therefore walked the site and decided on an alternative pitch before bringing in the van. Good size pitches separated by trees and shrubs. Electricity is 6 amps. No water taps by pitches, have to get water either from the service area or the sinks in the facilities. The facilities themselves are excellent, some of the best we have encountered. Toilets with their own washbasins, toilet paper provided although no soap. Good, spacious showers, privacy cubicles. Facilities spotless and cleaned twice a day. There is a small charge for wifi, 1 euro/day. The location is excellent, right by the shore of Lake Maggiori and there is a private good size sandy beach. There is a well-stocked shop with reasonable prices – although most things are cheaper in Feriolo, the local village. There is a good size restaurant with eating inside and outside and with an extensive menu including some very nice pizzas. It should be noted that although the restaurant takes credit cards, camping fees have to be paid for in cash.

The small village of Feriolo is very quaint, by the lakeside with narrow streets and only about a 10-15 minute walk away along a footpath. There is a bus stop for the large town of Stressa about a 20 minute walk away, just under a mile, with buses every hour. There is also a good cycle path from the campsite, which goes all the way to the smaller Lake Mergozzo and the very quaint village of Mergozzo (around 12 miles there and back, and mainly flat). Well worth visiting. Care has to be taken as there is one point where it is easy to miss the turn, which goes under the main road. (Right out of the campsite, down the cycle path by the main road down the hill and over the river, and then right down an embankment onto a path by a defunct garage (it is easy to miss as it is off to the right, only just in sight from the main cycle path, and then along the river path to Lake Mergozzo). Overall, this is an excellent campsite in an ideal location.

We had a fantastic week at Camping Conca D'Oro.
We booked a lakeside pitch which was very spacious as are all the pitches, we have a 28ft American Travel Trailer and had no problems parking it.
The views are beautiful.
The site is was fairly quiet as we were there for the last week before they closed for Winter. Hence the onsite shop did not have a large selection of items due to them closing in a few days.
The restaurant on site is superb. The food is fantastic and if you want to splash out on a superb bottle of wine I can highly recommend the Amarone Valpolicela Classico Superior (The TOMASSI if they still have it). you would normally pay more then the €45 they charged us.
The toilets and showers were very clean with plenty of hot water.
Highly recommended, we will certainly return when we next tow the van to Italy

Room tip: Pay extra for a pitch with a lake view it's well worth it.

My family and I have just spent 5 nights on this site. It was really clean with good facilities and the pitches were of a decent size.

The location right on the lake is very nice and the campsite beach is a plus over neighbouring ones.

Due to the low rain fall this year the lake level was down leading to more surface weeds than normal which made swimming in some places a little unpleasant.

There is an informal kids club which our girls (6 and 7) enjoyed on a couple of the days.

The nearby town of Feriolo (1km) and lake Mergozzo (5km) are also very nice.

A really nice site with over 150 meter private beach on Lake Maggiore. All of the facilities are modern and well maintained. Pitches vary in size with the best being on the lake shore, some have shade but in the main they are all open with no separation. In some areas pitches are very close to each other and I would recommend trying to avoid getting a pitch close to the Bar / Reception area as it can be noisy when events are on. The lake is a good facility for families and there is a small town close by. The site has a shop, bar and restaurant which are all reasonably priced. The food is OK but the town of Feriolo is a far better option.
We found staff to be unfriendly and very unhelpful, on two separate requests relating to car hire and the local area members of staff told us to "Google it". The site does seem to be run on the bases of cramming campers in and maximizing revenue. My advise would be good for a short stay especially for the stunning views. Rates worked out around €55 for camper van with 2+2/night which is reasonable enough for the area.

Room tip: Stay away for pitches near the Bar
