We were very pleasantly surprised as great value for money. It's a lovely welcoming, family run B&B with rooms to a very good standard, extremely clean and fab toiletries and tea/coffee facilities. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay and also dog friendly. The breakfast was superb and cooked fresh to order. Will definitely be returning when visiting the area.

As mentioned dont be put off as you trun up ,yes the car park needs some attention (holes everywhere) and the exterior needs freshening up
Also bit confusing as to where you go on entering the place ,no signage for a reception ,infact there is no reception ,we just shouted someone in the empty bar area .
Now with all the negatives out of the way ,the best bit about the place is that the rooms are clean and the breakfast is good ,also had a meal in the bar on the first night and again this was good .

Room Tip: Room 4 has distant sea views

We had booked this late in the evening and last minute, so we hadn't had much time to do our research.

Upon arrival, it looked a bit dated - we were not sure what to expect. When we went in we stepped back in time, to a 1970's time-warp and we LOVED it.

When I say time-warp, I don't mean it was old and tired. It was clean and wonderful. The bar is totally 1970s, as are the toilets. But it was all clean and renovated. They had decided to keep the 1970s decor and in my opinion they were right. The bedroom we had however, was completed modern.

We had a great night chatting to the owner and getting to know the locals over a few beers.

It was a cold, wet and windy March night and the wind was howling outside but the fire was roaring inside. Very atmospheric. Our room was totally modern, warm and the bed was so soft and cosy.

We had a lovely breakfast and a great chat with the owners the next morning and left vowing to return. Those reviewers who complain that this place needs updating are wrong. They don't get it.

It is retro and in my opinion a beautiful, clean and welcoming. Please don't change!!

Came for a weekend with a friend to do some walking along the coast path. The pub is very friendly and lively we instantly felt at home. We wanted to get a taxi to the start of our walk and the landlord went out of his way to arrange it for us adding that if he couldn't find a taxi to take us a member staff would take us! Had amazing weekend the rooms are big and comfortable and very clean. The food is good and reasonably priced, breakfast was a nice full English with the choice of fruit and yogout cerial and toast if you prefer. It's also very quiet and peaceful and has a large car park . I would recommend to anyone and it's also a great spot to explore the local countryside which is absolutely beautiful.

It may not be the prettiest Inn, especially if you approach as we did in the drizzly mist that hovered over Treligga Down for most of the time we stayed. The rooms have been recently decorated and were large enough, comfortable and very clean. The cooked breakfast was very good quality and plentiful, as well as cereal and fresh fruit being available.

Nothing was too much trouble for the helpful staff. Bar open at 6pm, drinks very reasonably priced and the bar meals were great - huge and inexpensive.

This inn advertises itself as competitively priced for the area and it is true, it offers very good value but do not expect a boutique hotel.

We walked to the coastal path from the b&b, from a footpath that runs next to the inn. Not the easiest path but it takes about 20-30 minutes to join the coast . Easier to drive to most places and Delabole is off the tourist track but it's very easy to reach all the popular tourist spots.

We would definitely stay again if in the area.
