Visited Templemore Arms for breakfast this morning. The food was excellent, piping hot and top up of tea and coffee offered. Great value into the bargain! There was a great atmosphere thanks to the friendly staff and in particular Biddys engagement with customers. I was impressed with the adherance to HSE guidelines including signage, taking of contact details, sanitizers, spacing of tables and cleaning of tables. Will be back very soon!!

Stayed in the hotel on Monday/Tuesday 10/11 February and loved it! The staff were friendly and welcoming. We originally had booked for the Monday night but 1 thing led to another and we had to stay on the Tuesday night. When my fiancé asked if there was a room available, the staff were very accommodating (no pun intended!!) in organising it! Food was delicious and fresh! I can't remember the name of the bar man on Monday evening when We arrived but he was a pleasure to meet with the craic he was having with us! Can't rate the place higher!! Took the photo the morning we left after a bitterly cold night outside....

We came to Templemore Arms Hotel after family pointed out it being an ideal location for our visit. It’s a three star hotel + bar on an ancient highway and apparent ‘biggest street in Europe’. Ample parking to front at a €3 cost for the day.

Now, coming from London, the road is quiet in comparison - but it’s a thoroughfare which is busy. We were greeted in a typical friendly Irish manner, and attended our rooms on 2nd floor. Roughly twenty rooms in total of various sizes. We had arranged a b+b rate for two - over 3 nights totalling €320? No lift or elevators but plenty of help on request.

Bar area, breakfast and restaurant area situated on the ground floor, with ample room for large parties. We found all employees friendly and helpful with a good sense of humour. The Templemore Arms is a local hub - with a busy lunch, dinner and breakfast turn-over. I witnessed locals using the venue as a meeting place - giving the air of family! Everyone knowing everyone...which was lovely for myself from London. Locals are friendly and again helpful - giving a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

I loved the food which suited my palate.

Having travelled the world - we appreciate when people are comfortable around their guests. Saturday night was music night, with at least 100 locals enjoying the experience.

Guinness a pint is €4.60 but base everything on €5 a drink.

But, the most important aspect is ‘would we return...’? Well the answer is a definite’YES!’ Sadly this notice will sell out the Templemore Arms Hotel...but they deserve it. Well done.

Ryanair to Shannon from Gatwick was £84 return for two. Car hire with Europcar was £80. It took us 70 minutes journey time.

Room tip: Area quiet but rear facing may help.
