The pictures of this property does not lie. It has a beautiful panoramic view of the mountains and fields. The garden was lovely with herbs, fig trees, lavender and more. So calming and soothing to just sit outside and take in this amazing scenery. The house was bigger than I thought, we were 8 people sharing the house (3 of which are between the ages of one and twelve) and it never felt cramped or like we were on top of eachother. There was plenty of space to spread out on. Very charming, genuinely Italian house, nice and clean. The kitchen is state of the art, restaurant quality in stainless steel. There was no A/C seeing as the house is old, (it would've been nice though as it was really hot when we were there) but the fans helped. And having a washing machine was great.
Traveling with kids and not being close to the ocean, it was a selling feature for us that the house had a pool and we were not disappointed. The pool area was really well kept and they came by to clean the pool mid week, which was nice since a lot of the insects seemed to enjoy the pool as well. :)
The surrounding area of Matelica is a bit sleepy, maybe not as charming as a lot of other Italian villages can be but there is an Armani outlet, wine tasting and 'Grotte di Frasassi' is close by which is a must see!!
We got a lot of information by Lucia and Stefano about the area and the highlight was when they came to the house and prepared a lovely five course meal for us on dad's birthday, which was the reason we were in Italy to begin with.
All in all this was a perfect house for families traveling together and only thing I was missing was mosquito nets on the windows, 'cause boy did I get bit!! And maybe softer beds (personal preference) but neither would stop me from booking this place again! :)

My friends and I stayed at the La Casa dei Fiori for 2 weeks, booking
direct through their website.
We had a lovely stay and if you want an Italian country house experience I
definitely recommend it.
Gabriele and Chiara, the owners, made us really welcome and were full of
information about the area.
We did a wine tasting tour, which was fantastic!
Beautiful pool and panoramic view over the landscape surrounding Matelica.
