Food is top notch, second time this week. Service, especially if Gillian is in charge of your table, is superb although a word of warning - it's superb in a way that reminds me of Durgin Park in Boston. Gillian takes no nonsense. Room is cosy and the bill reasonable.

Advertised here as vegan friendly and vegetarian options but on visit could only get roast potatoes and some veg, not even the gravy or white sauce was suitable. Very disappointing.

We had dinner in the poitin on Sunday as a family. We used to be regulars and my husband would visit 2 nights a week on his was home from work. We were extremely disappointed. We always love the poitin for the steak on the stone which they no longer do. They food wasn’t bad but it was so expensive for what we had. Prices have definitely increased hugely. Our bill was more than we had ever paid previously. Not worth the price at all.. the staff are fantastic but unfortunately we will not return again.

We all had different main courses and everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. I had the chicken stir fry and it was the nicest I've had to date.
Desserts were divine.
The waitress was lovely and very pleasant.
A lovely relaxed evening
I'm giving it a 4 rating but that's because I think the toilets could do with a revamp.
The floor always looks dirty but it may be the floor tyle.
