“Classy and great for a beer”
Review of The Great Wood

The place is classy, looks way more expensive than it is. This is a place to go for a beer, since it's cheap (just avoid Plum Porter Titanic beer, bad choice for me at least). I tried the burguers - average (but again, the price is not high so no big complain). I would recommend just to grab a beer and relax since the atmosphere is great and the place is quite big! It's adequate to go with family, friends or partner.

We called in here for a standard Wetherspoon's experience. In other words, cheap, reliable food and a wide range of craft beers.

It's a big airy place in the style of an American brew pub. There is plentiful parking nearby.

The food wasn't up to the usual Wetherspoons standard - tired and greasy.

The service was poor too, the staff chatting among themselves despite the place being fairly quiet in late afternoon.
The coffee comes from a crappy self-service machine, and the prices seemed a little steep for this pub chain.

Otherwise, it's a nice place, with good toilets and ambience.

But....the sister pubs in Derry, Lisburn and the late lamented one in Enniskillen outperform The Great Wood in every way.

It's a nice restaurant. I was there with a couple of friends. We had a great night. It is reasonable priced and offers to get a drink with the meal at a good price. Most places you'd pay double to get what we got here. The drinks prices are fantastic and offer a great range, some beers I wouldn't normally drink and it was great to try new things. The menu also had a excellent range.

This is a more so bar than restaurant. Food is mostly cooked in the microwave, you get for what you pay for!!
Avoid eating here.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review regarding you visit to the pub.

Unfortunately we do not have waiting staff in the pub as we take all food and drink orders at the bar.

However we do now have a new app where you can order from your table using your smart phone - with using the app the bar staff will then bring your food and drink to your table.

I apologies again and hopefully we will see you again soon
