We called in here for a standard Wetherspoon's experience. In other words, cheap, reliable food and a wide range of craft beers.
It's a big airy place in the style of an American brew pub. There is plentiful parking nearby.
The food wasn't up to the usual Wetherspoons standard - tired and greasy.
The service was poor too, the staff chatting among themselves despite the place being fairly quiet in late afternoon.
The coffee comes from a crappy self-service machine, and the prices seemed a little steep for this pub chain.
Otherwise, it's a nice place, with good toilets and ambience.
But....the sister pubs in Derry, Lisburn and the late lamented one in Enniskillen outperform The Great Wood in every way.
