Stayed three nights in December. The first room they put me in had a faulty air conditioner. The second room they put me in, the air conditioner failed the last night and I had to sleep in my friends room on a lawn chair pad. They did comp the room for that night, but it seems they could be a little more careful about equipment maintenance. Great location and pleasant people in any event.

We stayed here in November for 8 nights and it was exactly what we were after. I would highly recommend the beach studio on the first floor. Absolutely lovely. The room was spotless and spacious (the bed was huge!) and the wraparound balcony overlooking the sea was the icing on the cake. We went during the wet season and we could still sit outside while it was raining on the pool side of the balcony. The staff were great and Jan (the manager) was extremely helpful, to the point of letting me borrow his computer! We couldn't have been happier with the hotel and the staff. This hotel is right on the beach so going for a swim is simply a matter of grabbing your stuff and two minutes later you're saying to each other (once again) 'oh my god, this is fantastic!'

Breakfast may not be a four star hotel all you can eat buffet, but to honest it was more than sufficient given the sheer volume of thai food we were eating the rest of the time! By day 2 the staff even knew how I liked my eggs and cooked them perfectly just for me (how great is that?) Breakfast is taken in the cafe at the roadside which meant we could watch the town waking up and preparing for the day. It also meant we were tempted into trying the food from the carts that pulled up and served the local stall holders.

The bus into Phuket town can be flagged down immediately outside the hotel - well worth the experience. There are a couple of 7Elevens (like a Spar shop) within spitting distance of the hotel and they stock a huge array of products. I would recommend going to the Big C supermarket if only to see how differently things are done outside Europe!

This hotel is perfectly placed to explore the town, it's on the beach, the room and it's view were fab and the staff were just lovely, really pleasant and accommodating

Should our finances stretch to travelling to Thailand again, this is where we would go

Room Tip: Ask for the top floor beach studio (the balcony directly overlooks the sea)

We recently spent ten wonderful days in this hotel right on Kamala beach.
Our grand floor room opened directly onto a nice clean pool and our own area with a tables, chairs and lounges.
The pool area leads straight onto the beach which can be seen from all the rooms.
This makes beach bars and restaurants only a two minute walk away and what really impressed us was how quiet it was.
Our room was spacious, tastefully furnished with a very comfortable kingsize bed with
ensuite and kitchenette and cleaned daily with fresh linen.
Jan the owner was exremely friendly, helpful and and so was Pia and all the other staff.
This has to be the best value for money on the beachfront in Kamala and we will be back

Room Tip: Upstairs obviously has better views of the beach

Nice small hotel and directly to the beach but b.fast was just so so. We were generaly happy with Kamala Dreams and much appreciate friendly staff's service. The only drawback is cupboards in our room had a bit smelly that made us hesitate to use them.

Staff were friendly at both rest-house & beach-front cafe.
Our rooms were BIG with King-size bed and kitchenette.
Our favorite dining area was the beach-front cafe where we can enjoy our meals and the sea-view at the same time.
Beach-front Cafe serve reasonably priced, nice and tasty
local meals @S$8 per meal & real fruit juice @S$3.
Convenience store(7-11), eateries, souvenir, money
exchange stores and Tailor shops are just nearby.
One can get a Jacket/suit done in 3 days at a good price.
Getting around to Patong beach, JungCeylon shopping
centre or sight-seeing is no problem - just liaised with Yong
(son-in-law) of Mr. Jan, the owner. That was what we did when we visited Big Buddha at Chalong bay, Tiger World and Promthep cape. Will be back again the next time. Our thanks to Yong & Alee.
