That was my major query after checking in to my large but sparsely decorated room, containing a huge double bed, thin carpets and furniture from the 1970s.
The breakfast however was very good in the restaurant connected to the bar complete with small stage and pole (unoccupied), during the whole of my 2 day stay. Freshly cooked eggs, a rareity in German hotels were especially welcome as well as the well cooked bacon and sausage.
a fairly brightly coloured hotel immediately opposite the train station and having its own taxi service.
The staff were pleasant and from the photographs on the reception desk together with the decor one could describe the hotel as querky. However I do not think it was worth the price paid of around £60 per night.More
