Quiet, nice b&b. The owners don't speak much english, but it worked out with Google Translate. This is a place if you want to relax for a day or two. Beautiful view. Not far from the Lamole restaurant.

We stayed here at this wonderful hilltop B&B for just two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The hosts, Andre and his wife, were wonderful and welcoming, as was Selena, who welcomed us upon arrival and who spoke very good English. We enjoyed the wine tasting with Andre, whose family has farmed the vineyards producing Chianti wine since the 1500s! What history! What amazing relaxing views of the surrounding countryside! So peaceful. Andre was kind enough to make us reservations at local restaurants that were outstanding. The guest accommodations were completely updated in 2015, with a great big comfortable bed, huge shower in the bathroom, plenty of hot water and thankfully excellent air conditioning for the heat wave we endured. Breakfast was delicious, with meats, fruits, pastries and more. But it's the people we remember best and Andre and his family will remain a very special part of our trip memories. The only minor complaint was that the WiFi could have been better.

Room Tip: We stayed on the first floor. Very convenient.

Castellinuzza is on a pretty hill, close to the town center of Greve in Chianti with better views than some of the wineries we visited. Go round the back for some tables and chairs to chill on and vineyards as far as the eye can see.

The host was very welcoming and always had coffee and a light breakfast ready. The rooms were spacious, bathrooms pristine and bed was comfortable with extra pillows and blankets handy. Best of all for the summer, the aircon ran perfectly.

The man taking care of the property was super helpful and when it was late in the day of our arrival and we were wanting some wine, he opened up the cellar gave us a nice wine tasting session after which we purchased a nice bottle of their Chianti Classico.

WiFi was also good and cellphone service was not a problem. Nearby Greve had a supermarket, bank, pharmacy and restaurants so everything is within reach.

We stayed here for 3 nights during a 14-day trip throughout Italy. We found out firsthand that if the staff does not speak English, then it is definitely a problem. The staff are friendly, but they only speak Italian, which was more of a problem than we expected.

This B&B is in a rural mountain area with beautiful views. The drive isn't easy, and it is a remote location. The B&B is part of small vineyard, and they do make their own wines. We had a nice wine tasting, but again, when you can't communicate in the same language, the wine tasting is simply not as good as it could be.

We spent 3 nights. We were 6 people in 3 rooms. One morning, the hot water ran out, and some of us had to take cold showers. When trying to register a complaint, the language barrier made it difficult. The next morning, we woke up, and there was no water at all. Somehow the water was turned off. Again, language barrier was a problem.

There are no restaurants nearby. So you have to drive into town. On our first day there, through difficult communications, we ended up having wine, meats, and cheeses in the breakfast room. The one person on-site (Salenia) served us. We had no idea if this was included as a first-day welcome or what. When we checked out, we were charged 20 euro per person for this appetizer meal.

We love italy, we love the Chianti region, but if we went back, we would definitely find a place were the staff can speak English. it's a bigger problem than you can expect until you're in the situation.

Room Tip: Don't stay here if you don't speak Italian.

Our group of 3 couples stayed here for 3 nights. This is remotely located and if you are not comfortable navigating narrow winding roads, this may not be for you. There are no stores, shops or restaurants nearby, so plan accordingly. That said, this is a comfortable B&B on a working winery. If you do not speak Italian, there will be a communication barrier. We experienced a few "inconveniences" along the way that added up to impacting our stay. The WiFi wasn't working most of the time. I know, we are on vacation, but, if it is advertised, it is expected. The first morning there they hot water stopped working. The next morning, the water completely shut-off. Everybody ran out of toilet paper and unless we asked, it wasn't replaced, hand soap - none. Room heat didn't come on until 7pm nightly (programmed that way). I rate this place an overall average and would likely look for something different for a future visit.
