This is an extraordinary place, and we've been to many boutique hotels in Mexico, the Caribbean and the South Pacific.
The view is breathtaking, including both the Pacific and the jungle from your room balcony.
A troop of white-faced Capuchin monkeys walked by our balcony one morning--just 20 feet from us. From the same spot we saw Scarlet Macaws and Toucans, hawks galore and a large number of sea and songbirds.
The restaurant (Anfiteatro) is delicious with excellent service, though a tiny bit pricey. We used the in-room dining bar refrigerator to store snacks of local fruit and drinks. We also brought a case of water. Of course, this is all available at the resort (we had the food and drinks with us from the previous night's stay at a villa).
The infinity pool is gorgeous and not crowded. It overlooks the jungle and Pacific Ocean and is surrounded by lush greenery that fits in with the natural environment.
The room was spotless, with nice amenities (lemongrass body products!) and fast internet. Housekeeping was thorough but not intrusive.
For the monkeys alone, I'd come back here. Our tranquil, romantic 4-day stay was like a week at a spa.More
