We only stayed one night, as we were travelling south. The bedroom was a bit cramped so we wouldn't have wanted to stay longer. Although described as having a view of the river, you can't actually see any water, just the trees bordering it.
After reading other reviews on here, we were concerned that the restaurant might not be up to scratch but were very pleased with the meal. The starter was a vegetable tart with salad - the tart was hot and beautifully made. The main course was beef cheek with vegetables and sauce - the beef tenderly braised and all was delicious, and the dessert a selection of poached fruits with ice cream, again delicious.More
