Bad food and expensive for Bangka. Really, 50k for one slice of fish? The taste is just so-so, and Lempah soup is not tasting like you would expect. The service was bad for Indonesian standard: not smile from waitress, waiting 10minutes before they served us, and there were only 2 tables filled!

Avoid this restaurant at all.

Arrived Sun around 6pm. Very quite only 2 other tables occupied. Asked for menus. There were 2 of us. They only had 1 menu!! God knows what happens if they get busy. No beer! Decided to leave! If you are in hospitality business at least get the basics right.

This restaurant is centally located in Pangkal Pinang, the capital city of Bangka Belitung province, and operated by Lay family that owned this heritage house for at least five generations.

It serves a fussion of local and Chinese food, the tastes of which exceeded my expectation.

The restaurant buttered bread dish is simply the best. It has to be accompanied by its traditionally brewed Robusta coffee though. A killing combination indeed.

Food is served in a round of small dishes, comprising of fish soup, chilli-pasted fish, deep fried tofu and tempe (fermented soya beans), and garnished with fresh vegies.

The tastes are simply second to none.

The restaurant is basically a well-preserved traditional Chinese court house. Open air and clean.

At the backyard, a four-star hotel is currently being constructed.

If you're visiting Bangka, this restaurant is a must visit place in order to deepen your knowledge about the local culture.

Overall rating is 5/5. Highly recommendable.

The dishes, the drinks, the coffee are tasty. Just launched in April 2016, it is on the left wing at back of the first house in pangkalpinang, bangka. On their own effort, the family keeps their heritage alive. Some changes done like the red bricks gate which originally was on the left side that is now at the back facing a tall building for star hotel. A wonderful revitalized heritage building. Must visit and must dine.
