Description: Welcome to The Award Winning Farmer's Boy Inn Longhope Simply put, we love food. Not just for what it is, but for the experience that accompanies it. Homely surroundings, great company and conversation, attentive waiters, who become friends and of course fine wines from around the world. After an evening of gastro food delights, gourmet pies and laughter in front of the open fire retire to our courtyard of boutique individually designed rooms and drift off, to wake up to the sounds, sights and smells of the idyllic Gloucestershire countryside. Followed of course by a hearty breakfast and maybe a stroll up the majestic May Hill

Really nice Friday meal to finish off a glorious stay in the Forest of Dean. Plenty of parking and a very good menu, albeit the pies are the star.- also had a good range of veggie options so a round of applause for that. The ice creams we had for desert were also scrumptious (one of the best salted caramel ice creams I have had) cost about £45 for two of use (with drinks) only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is the service wasn’t particularly quick, but very friendly. Recommend if in the area, and you can buy the pies online!

We were a party of eleven plus dog. Service excellent and food delicious. They have certainly got it right here, even have a minibus that will take you back. Very impressive and friendly.

Visited here with our puppy for a evening dinner. The staff were very attentive and welcoming. The decor and cleanliness of the pub is very high.

However, the food was fine but felt that the vegetarian variety was poor. We had the bread and hounds starter but the bread was quite badly burnt. The vegan burger was delicious. But the vegetarian curry didn’t taste like a curry.. more like pasta sauce with rice? The desserts, however, were delicious.

Overall would recommend but I wouldn’t expect award winning food as described in other reviews, especially if you are a vegetarian/vegan.
