This is a lovely hotel if visiting Phuket. It does seem to be in a bit of a poor area, but never felt frightened or threatened. Travelled with my two daughters. The hotel is very welcoming, clean and food great, especially the a la carte restaurant which was very reasonably priced. My only grumble were the beds, they were so hard, could do with thicker mattresses. The pools (there are 2) were very clean and the gardens were very well maintained. We were on the top floor and there are no lifts but we soon got used to this. Unfortunately the beach did have a lot of rubbish on it, it would be good for someone to clean this! The area is good for the usual trips out, James Bond island and Phi Phi. We stayed 5 nights before moving North.

Dear Julie W,

Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your feedback! Good to hear you felt comfortable here in our place. Thank you again and we appreciate your feedback regarding our bed and the Bangtao beach. Actually, our staff has daily routine of cleaning the beach area in front our resort.

We hope to welcome you back again here with your daughters should you visit Phuket again in the near future.

Kind regards,
Edissa C. Royo

Stayed here with my husband and another couple. Cannot fault the staff or their dedication to the residents but some things need to change.
Firstly the pools are filthy. Children are allowed to eat and drink whilst in them and leave all manner of detritus behind. The staff do not speak enough English to stop this, or request parental supervision.
There is meant to be a family pool and a beach pool but kids over run both. Even the kids club staff allow the kids to disturb other users. It was annoying!!
Secondly the most visible reps are Jet Tours. They are very overwhelming and in your face. Very young and keen but not for everyone. Many many French families in and around the hotel loved them, and in turn took over the bars and pools to the detriment of others.
If you’re just looking for a nice room and a bed then this place is fine, but don’t hang around during the day.

I have been visiting Thailand for over 40 years. While most of the amenities at this resort are satisfactory there have been a couple of disappointing problems.
We booked a non smoking room which was provided but guests are allowed to smoke around the pool area right outside the room. If you open the door or chose to sit on the verandah you have smokers right next to you. There is no SMOKE FREE zone anywhere in this resort. Smoking is also allowed in the dining area which we find unacceptable while you're eating. We found this made our visit unpleasant as we were looking forward to a few days relaxation. Today no towels were available for the pool luckily I still had a damp one from yesterday. Also I requested an extra 2 hours for a later checkout and was informed it would cost an extra 1500 baht. I have never had such a request refused at any hotel previously, rooms are kept neat and tidy wherever we stay so cleaning for staff is easy.

Dear Deidre K,

Thank you for choosing to stay here and for spending the time to share us your feedback! We are sorry to hear that your expectations were not live up. Every feedback we receive from our guests we take it as a good opportunity to better our standard service. We appreciate and thank you for letting us aware of the areas we need to improve.

It is our hotel policy to charge every late check-out request though, it is not always 100% guaranteed as it is subject on the room availability only not to mention during the peak season. We are sorry it made you unhappy - we hope you do understand. In addition, the guests are not allowed to smoke inside the room, lobby area and restaurants.

We would be pleased if you could consider staying with us again on your next plan vacation here in Phuket.

Kind regards,
Edissa C. Royo

We stayed here for 2 nights and mostly just used it as a jumping off place to get to Phang Nga Bay. The rooms are clean and comfortable and it's right by the ocean so views are nice.
Now the bad:
-We booked a shuttle from the airport to the hotel and while we were in the car someone from the hotel called the driver to talk to me about booking tours. Why not just wait till we were at the hotel? Also, they were very pushy about booking a tour and did not like that we had things in place already
-We asked about closing times of the post office and the front staff were more than happy to look it up. They were also more than happy to set us up with an over priced cab ride to said post office. We tried to bargain with the cab driver, noting that it was approximately 6k away and he was charging us more than double for that distance and he would have none of it. We told him we'd walk and he tried to berate us for attempting to walk Phuket streets. The impression I got was that the hotel was in with this particular cab company. We walked 20ft down the road and took a tuk tuk (which was an adventure all on its own) for half the price of the cab.

I would be wary of this place in the future.

Lovely complex but much smaller than it looks in the brochure. Comfortable room overlooking the pool and beach. Resort pretty quiet and no evening entertainment so not much to do. Street outside with few shops and bars. Room spacious and comfortable and serviced everyday. First all inclusive where you've had to pay for soft drinks in the room fridge. Resort is not fully inclusive so if your on an all inclusive package you have to sign for everything. Means kids can't just go up and order drinks etc at the bar Food in buffet restaurant is ok but not much choice and they don't cater for children. They do have a children's menu in the a la cart seafood restaurant but needs to be booked 24 hours in advance. Rep unhelpful on the issue of food for the children and is only interested in selling excursions. It also said in the brochure you had access to sunwing resort to use restaurants however just before travel we were informed by e mail it was closed.
