We stayed here for the half term week. We had a Waikiki mobile as did our friends. This trip was all about Disney - and some time in Paris so the location of this campground was great. As others have mentioned it's easy to Disney by car and Paris by train.

Perhaps the staff weren't prepared for the half-term crowd but it was pretty much chaos at the campground.

We called ahead to ensure linens were available for hire and there were none on arrival - and none expected for a couple of days. The mobile was OK, but very small for a 3 bedroom. It probably should have been a 2 bdrm because the rooms were drop in bed small, and the toilet room and handbasin room were on opposite sides of the mobile. That was odd. There was only a cooktop but no oven, bbq or frying pan. It was only kitted out well enough for soup or microwaving.

The store is minimally stocked and is closed from 11-4:30. If you miss the window you're off to the grocer a few miles away.

The restaurant served pretty good food but service was abysmal. We waited for menus, then waited for a table set, then waited to place order. Apparently table-setters can't take orders, order takers can't deliver etc. It makes for a very disconnected and long service. We ate there twice out of convenience - and because we didn't have great cooking facilities in our unit.

They should not be able to advertise "Wifi onsite" because you need to pay 5 euro and hour and use it up at the restaurant. You can't pick up signal from campsite. Rather then pay for one hour deals I went to the provider site that you can link to off of the login page, and got cheaper rates. Still, having to walk to the main house to login was very inconvenient.

The staff were trying to do their best but they were grossly understaffed - and there wasn't an adult in site. I saw 2 "Management escalations", once in the restaurant and once at reception and each manager was in their early 20's at best. I never saw anybody working that looked to be 25+.

Nothing against youth but with age comes experience and experience was definitely lacking in managing the crowds/concerns.

We went to Paris 2 days, and Disney 3. We only spent one full day in the park and that was enough.

A campground to visit based on price and location only. Not a destination campground.

2 adults and 2 children (aged 4 &10) stayed for a week in a Bali home. 30 degrees heat.

Very quiet and relaxed site full of evening song birds. Reception and shop have english speaking staff. Good pool for sunbathing and enough to do for children.(parks etc)
Easy walk into local village (around 20 mins) which has a super market.

Disneyland Paris only 25 mins away by car and all day/evening parking at Val de Europe supermarket car parks; then RER metro for 1 stop.
Same car/RER metro setup for Paris but changing at charles de gualle then getting off opposite the eiffell tower.Very easy to do!

Overall.... site and location of site in France for days out very good. Ferry journey from Caen is a chore and goes a bit manic around Paris (would recommend a good sat nav without speed cameras installed) Friendly staff and helpfull. (we asked to leave at 430am for ferry return)

We are a family of two adults and 2 children (8 & 5) and have just returned from four nights on this site, which was fine for a short stay and as a base for Disneyland Paris.

Good points:

Twenty mins from Disneyland on good roads (toll €2.10) and the train to Paris is on your door step (€48 for family for regional train and all metro/bus rides).

Best tent we have ever stayed in (we normally travel with canvasholidays) with wooden floors, huge bedrooms and a full size fridge.

Nice enough pool area and very helpful reception staff, who gave full instructions on the best metro stops in Paris etc!

Bad Points:

The shower block is bleak....really bleak! I had three cold showers; only on our last day did I have hot water.

We were very lucky that we were near the shower/toilet block. We took a walk around, and I could not believe how far some tents were from the facilities!

The site is badly maintained in many places, with random rubble and over grown areas.

This is all in comparison to other sites we have stayed in however, and I would still recommend the site as a base for Disney, but not as the main focus of your holiday.

Top Disney Tips:
Park in Disney Village, and you will have a shorter walk to the main entrance, for €5 less per day's parking.

We kept our daughter's stroller in the attic for the last year (rather than get rid of it) just for this trip. We were so glad we did! After 12 hours in Disney, I could have climbed into it myself! Both children took spins in it at some stage, and we also loaded it up with food and drinks underneath.

Enjoy! :-)

Room Tip: Request a tent not too far from the toilet block and not too high up in the site.

Went on the SUn newspaper holiday. Stayed in Bali Home. Love the surrounding. Its quiet and peaceful. This is our 2nd time in France. But our 3rd campsite. So, it was a pleasant surprise to find the mobile home comes with a wooden verandah (very unlike the UK mobile campsites). I love this camp's environment, lots of mature trees...reminds me of some beach side resort in Asia. Its safe enough for the kids to run around outside.

It is very basic and its interior is abit tired IMO, but its clean. Fresh blankets provided which was very welcomed. Bring your own bedlinen but the oillows we got were those soft Ikea square sofa pillows. By the time I stuffed it into my pillow cases, they were rock hard pillows, so bring Large pillow cases.

I noticed there's an aircon unit which will come handy during warm days.

The kitchen utensils is adequate. There are ants.. Bring ant repellant.

We read the handbook - we're supposed to clean up before leaving. We're supposed to leave the mobile home just as how we found it. Neat and tidy. Floor to be sweep and mopped. Kitchen to be cleaned and wiped down. Fridge to be wiped down and defrosted a day before leaving. To leave the fridge door opent o dry before closing the door and start the fridge back up. But when we arrived, the frdige was off, and door was left open. So, I did just that. Not too sure if this is standard in France, as this was the first time I had to do this. Didnt have to do it for Davy Crocket Ranch in Disneyland nor Camping Est Paris in Campigny Sur Marne. For this, I deducted 1 star.

No advise to drink the water, according to handbook. We bought water cheaply at InterMarche - Euro2.50 for an 8 liter bottle.

We were there low peak. So staffs were plenty and helpful. Boiler broke down so we didnt have hot water for shower half way thru...so some of us went off to the communal showers to check it out. According to my very fussy and particular sister, it was immaculate and a joy to use...so it must have been good. Hubby too said the gents shower rooms were brilliant. Boiler got fixed a few hours later.

For those who need the train..it was fantastic. The train station is literally at the entrance of the campsite. Infact to go into the campsite, you are actually driving thru the train station's carpark.
this area. its beautiful. We drove around found plenty mini marts and ask the reception, there is hypermarkets nearby - like Carrefour, E.LeClerc and Intermarche.

The restaurant just outside the campsite, across the road...apparentkly was good food and reasonably priced,,but we didnt get the chance to try it.

The kids loved the shallow swimming pool. There's a deep pool under a tent-like marque...I am assuming this is the indoor pool. There's a good size sandpit. Our kids scootered around safely.

Its ok. I supposed, we were spoilt as our last 2 campsites (Davy Crocker Ranch went there April 2011, and Camping Est Paris May 2012) were absolutely new and well stocked with linens, towels and kicthen utensils.

But I will go back, just for the easy relax environment, and the easy train access to Paris. I have to say it was a good basecamp for us as we were doing 3 days Paris, 1 day shopping at La Vallee nr Disney, 1 day Reims and 1 day Lille.

If youre goin to Euro Disney, look out for the La Village Shopping Mall. There's a huge supermart inside called AuChan, where you can buy hot pizza according to the size you want..its by weight. The 4 cheese pizza is to die for and its so cheap! The size of 2 personal pizza was only Euro5 with change. A brilliant place to stock your fridge up is you're self catering.
