I love this beautiful peaceful filipino style resort. Great infinity pool views from up above. Quaint sandy beach and great quiet sea swimming safe conditions. Great musicians. Very good food. Must try their delicious hot chocolate with ingredients only on Bohol Island, which is their attached by bridge neighboring island with the Tarsier, the 6 inch tall smallest primate only on Bohol Island. Great friendly staff. Great with connecting you to day tours. Cave to swim in. I plan to visit again from around the world.

I was initially mesmerized with the pictures and videos posted by the resort that triggered us to book our early summer outing in this resort. But in actually seems it was not as expected.
The booking process was ok. Pick up was ok. Upon entry of the resort u would be brought to a nice relaxing environment. Frontdesk was ok. the THINGS which were not OK were-- beach( u would be disapponted) ; Villas are on - renovation.. u can see that plants and trees are not properly landscaped and not maintained. Some areas look old and rusty. BFAST not ok( less choices and bread are not fresh) service is ok but not amazing. PRICE not worth the value & experience ( overprice) .

Dear Jonnicko C,

It is unfortunate that your "expectations (were) not met" during your stay with us. Your comment concerning "some areas look old and rusty" is the reason why we are undergoing the renovation. We are updating our resort in order to provide our guests with an upgraded experience regarding our facilities and amenities, including our services. We hope that you will get to see the improvements we have made in the near future.

If you love nature, then Mithi Resort & Spa is the place. I am rating it according to what we experienced during our stay. The package we availed included free breakfast & dinner (which our parents loved), plus Bohol tour and a free visit at Cambagat Cave.

Pros:
1.) From inquiry via email to arrival up to departure were all hassle-free
2.) Staff are nice & well oriented
3.) Room with veranda is spacious & homey
4.) Food is good, has wide variety
5.) Pasalubongs in resort's souvenir shop are cheaper than in the public pasalubong center (forgot the name)
6.) Pools (the saltwater pool & ordinary pool) are good for chilling at any time of the day
7.) Shuttle is very convenient (especially for the oldies) when you transfer from one place to another as the place occupies hectares of land.
8.) The resort itself is amazing - a tropical nature resort.

Cons:
1.) Small ants in our room bite, painful than mosquitos
2.) Shower is slow that you'll take more minutes to finish your bath
3.) Bidet doesn't function well as well as the flush, need to ask for housekeeping assistance to fix it
4.) Beach wasn't enticing to swim though (maybe just because of the weather when we were there last February), shore is dirty & full of dead seaweeds.
5.) Lastly, our disappointment came when my husband's scarf was missing/lost after our room was cleaned. Sad

Dear Sarah J,

Thank you for posting a balanced review, both pros and cons, regarding your stay with us. We are grateful that you appreciated the food, our rooms, facilities and amenities, as well as our service. Rest assured that we are addressing your concerns about the ants and the mosquitos. In fact, we have already scheduled a fogging procedure that will rid most areas of pests. We have also fixed our plumbing system. As for the beach, there is really a season when the winds would bring in seaweeds to the beach, especially when the weather is not too favorable. Lastly, we apologize for the loss of your husband's scarf. Our housekeeping staff always surrender found items in the room during make-up, but in your case, we never found the scarf. It might be possible that the scarf was misplaced outside the resort during your tour. Nevertheless, we hope that we can welcome you back to the resort in the near future.

The staff were great and helpful. The over all look of the resort was enchanting. The pool and the little man made Island was an added bonus. The food was excellent. Enjoyed our breakfast everyday. I would have given the resort 5* but gave it 4* as we were a bit disappointed with our room. Although some rooms were renovated, we were put in one of the old rooms and it was really dated. They also need to address the problem of mosquitos. Although we sprayed ourselves, we still got bitten. I would definitely like to come back again.

So many things to say about this beautiful resort!

Upon arriving at the resort lobby, we were immediately drawn to the breathtaking view of the blue waters dotted by the resort's Dream Islet, greeted by really friendly and attentive Mithi staff. With a refreshing welcome drink and a cool towel to wipe away your worries and concerns from work and usual daily routine, and after a quick check-in with helpful front desk officers, we were whisked off by golf cart to our room on the most secluded villa of the resort.

Love is definitely in the air! Our bed was adorned with gumamela and suntan flowers and a surprise "Happy Honeymoon!" message :) Besides that, the room was absolutely exquisite especially because of the large jump-in-now bed with the softest linens. Even with all the other guests in the resort (and the construction of new villas nearby), our stay was incredibly relaxing because of the room--peaceful and quiet. And the spacious and impeccably CLEAN bathroom with double sinks was great for a couple like us who are always on the go!

Apart from the room, service was exceptional. Whenever we went to Cafe Luisa or Antonio's Bar, or any of the common areas, even while walking from our room along the paths, each of the staff would greet us with a smile and were helpful. On our second massage (yes the Mithi Spa massage will soothe and relax all of your tired muscles, we went for it twice and I fell asleep both times!), we were fetched by the manager himself on the golf cart, even if we didn't call to be picked up.

We really liked the breakfast buffet (Pollo Balsamico is a must try) and of course, the specials! Like Bagnet de Panglao, Ceviche and Pinaputukang Bangus. Yummmmy. Plus food coma. Renel, the executive chef / manager himself would check up on our food, and make sure we were enjoying every meal. The cocktails were delicious too, we tried out different selections each day we were at the resort!

We were so sad to leave at the end of our trip, and will definitely be back soon! :)

Room Tip: Try out the deluxe room, and if possible, request a room away from the group tours' accommodations
