Comptoir wakes up early to provide customers with unique Lebanese breakfasts to eat in or take away; offering everything from organic yoghurt topped with pomegranate and orange blossom water, porridge and halloumi cheese and za’atar croissants. Visit for lunch and dinner and enjoy all types of interesting and colourful dishes, including hot and cold mezze – perfectly sized for sharing- wraps, salads, tagines, grills and Man’aesh (Lebanese style pizzas). Comptoir caters well for vegetarians as well as for a gluten free diet. The atmosphere is as good as one could hope for in a shopping centre. The staff were good and the food very tasty. My mixed grill was spot on.

I went to Comptoir Libanais on a Saturday afternoon for lunch amidst the busy shopping hours. We did not have to wait and were seated promptly.

We ordered the Lebanese Lamb & Halloumi Burger. This was served with batata harra (Lebanese spiced fries). The burger was very tasty and the meat was well done. My nephew ordered from the kids menu and preferred the chicken wrap with a dessert option of chocolate brownie. He liked the wrap and finished his meal which was encouraging. However the dessert did not work out for him as he did not like the brownie at all (it was very bitter). However he finished the vanilla ice cream that was served along with it. Overall I liked the place and it was a good representation of the Lebanese cuisine. I might try other dishes next time around. The decor of the place is very interesting punctuated by items from the Lebanese culture. You can even buy a souvenir including Lebanese cutleries and crockeries for a fairly decent price.

Good service, good food and pleasant surroundings. Breakfast was very good , slightly different twist on a full english. Would note the price was very reasonable for breakfast juice and coffee as a special deal. Hope this is a permanent deal as would happily repeat.

Sunday lunch time so pretty busy, we did not have to wait long to be shown to our table. Our waitress was a dream, friendly, funny & efficient. She warned us that there would be a 20 minute wait (we never have problems chatting for that amount of time ).
We all had the Chicken Shish Taouk, it was tasty, well presented and fresh.
The milk pudding went down a treat too.
The homemade soft drinks were a nice touch.
Price wise about £20 per head , excellent value.
