Stunning venue, stunning food, lovely lady who runs it. Dog friendly. The quality of the food here is wonderful, all home made and out of the garden, which you can sit in and admire the stunning views of the Clun valley.

Take it in on a walk to Bury Ditches.

A very pleasant stopping off point with a great range of delicious snacks and drinks. Great views across fields and rolling hillsides. Made to feel very welcome and proprietors Mike and Sue work so hard, not just serving teas and snacks but maintaining the lovely gardens and vegetable beds.

My wife and I went to Guilden Down (near Clun) and did a walk to Bury Ditches and back. On our return we visited the ‘Tea on the Way’ tea room and what a treat that was. Their two dogs were friendly and got on well with our own dog, the lady that served us was very friendly and attentive, we sat in a covered area in the garden from where we could see all the many birds that were flying about and it was so relaxing that you didn’t want to leave! The tea and tray bake cakes were lovely and afterwards my wife looked round the garden which is in the NGS (National Garden Scheme) so a collection box is available should you want to donate. There are also plants, jams and crafts on sale. As it was a lovely day we sat outside but there area few seats inside if weather is not so good! Would definitely recommend this charming tea room which although a bit off the beaten track is well worth seeking out.

Well worth the walk up from Clun village to sit in a lovely garden in the sunshine. Large selection of snacks, cakes (also gluten/dairy free + vegan) and speciality teas, all being excellent standard and reasonably priced. Loved the walk round the ecologically sustainable garden and seeing sheep, chickens and friendly dog. Altogether a really nice afternoon, thank you.
