I first visited this wonderful tea rooms with a walking group from Clun. Delicious home made food served in the beautiful garden or garden room, with wonderful view of the countryside.
Also a lovely walk from Hopesay.

Not somewhere you would just come across unless you were walking the Shropshire Way but worth seeking out by car or bike. Relaxed tea room run by friendly folk - but check out the cakes....which you can also have with local ice cream as well as cream. Worth the drive 1.5 miles up a single track road, not least for the stunning views of the Clun Valley which you can ernjoy in the picturesque garden

Have been visiting TotW for the last 3 years, mostly on a garden open day. Very friendly proprietors, interesting garden, they always seem to have something going on. Tea and cakes very good, prices OK.

Having read the Tripadvisor reviews, and having crossed the country via tea shops, we set off on a rainy Monday, hoping this location would at least be worth the wander. Instead, we found ourselves spending a lovely afternoon with a charming hostess in a perfect garden for a relaxed and lovely break. Well worth getting off the path to find, many, many thanks for the hospitality.

10 of us set off from Bishops Castle to Clun, which was a beautiful but challenging walk for those of us who once thought walking involved a trip to the shops. We kept seeing signs for Tea on the Way through the woods we passed and I was wondering if it was a mirage when finally we stumbled upon it. We all sat outside and enjoyed fresh cheese and fruit scones which came with cream and jam, some of us had cake. The tea came in pots with their own cosy’s to keep it warm. The teashop has a small shopping area with jams and also sells free range eggs. Tea on the Way does not make sandwiches but what they do have on offer was very well received.
