This hotel is frequented more by the Indians from outside Goa. The positive about the hotel- It is suitable for family and children with lovely Indian and Goan food. Staff are very nice and polite. It is also located on the Uttorda beach but they don't have facilities for their own beach chairs as any supposed 5 star hotel would.
The negatives - Rooms are old and badly needs refurbishing especially the bathroom. Our air conditioning was rattling and noisy. Our room had a few resident rats in the ceiling and rudely woke us most nights. Hotel staff could not do much about it. Did they try? They couldn't do much because the ceiling revealed a maze of electrical wiring! Staff are also mainly from out of Goa, so are not helpful with local knowledge at all, which frustrated us a lot! Bar service is very slow - we waited 15 mins for some drinks! We were not allowed to take a beach towel out of the premises.

Would we go back? Perhaps not to the same hotel but around the same area for the beach.

I have stayed here a few times in the past as I like Utorda beach and Royal Orchid has good access to it.

The rooms and property are fairly well maintained. Didn't eat in the hotel except for breakfast which was really good.

Service was really prompt and good, especially the breakfast service and housekeeping.

Regardless of what these guys say, this is NOT a 5 star hotel. The staff was alright but not at all efficient, pretty sure the rooms werent cleaned properly everyday, had a couple of cockroaches in the room in different days and the access to the pool is terrible! You need to walk around some sort of swamp which is actually the sewage, and often need to argue with the security guard to let you take towels into the beach even though they claim its a 'resort'! None of the activities they claim to have are on and the food is ok or bad if you expect it to be 5 stars.

I thought the staff was nice but unfortunately had bad training and therefore dont work to a 5 star standard.

Had a good time but unfortunately didnt feel it was clean enough or even prepared for the standard they claim to have.

Breakfast is alrigt but expect to have curry for breakfast and bad coffee unless tou can be bothered to convince them to give you an espresso or cappucino in the morning as part of the breakfast.

Also, as soon as u check out u lose access to wi-fi wven if you stay and have lunch - additionally you only get 2 devices with wifi per room so if you are with a partner you better not bring your ipads as well as your phones hah

If i came back to Goa i unfortunately would not stay here again.

It was a beautiful beach resort with amazing cuisine, luxurious rooms and excellent staff. Many activities are conductud at the beach like water jet skiing, paragliding and dolphin spotting. There is a ps4 and foosball room too. There is a mini sports cabin with a widde variety of sports equipment to use and a geese enclosure.

Had three day stay for an internal conference at the resort and it went off very well. The hotel is small compared to some of the sprawling ones in South Goa and neatly packed in a strip of land. Access to the beach is direct from the hotel with a small rickety bridge across a canal. There are lots of shacks just off the hotel.

The rooms are spacious but the bed quality isnt that great. The rooms on the higher floor facing the pool are the best with a good view and also the best access to the main area.

The food was quite mediocre as they tend to cater to a North Indian crowd and I couldnt get one goan/ local dish on the menu for any of the days. Breakfast was a nice big spread and that was good enough for us.

This can be a three star Plus resort as per Goan standards and good value for money.

Room Tip: First floor facing the pool..
