We visited to do the Famine Walk but we had a fantaastic time, encompassing gorgeous food, great hospitality, and seriouly deep respect for Ireland's heritage.

The dogs demonstrated sheep herding as if on cue, and the pear and almond tart is likely to be never forgotten.

Rolling up to the outside parking lot of the Glen Keen Farm, I had no expectations of what I would be experiencing. I can’t emphasize enough how pleased and impressed I was with my experience.

Upon arrival, we were greeted and ushered back to a sheepdog demonstration. It was one of the most fascinating things I’ve witnessed. The sheer beauty of the relationship between the sheep dog and their commander is nothing short of impressive. Watching the animals run across the pasture which was so green and lush highlighted the natural beauty of Ireland and specifically county mayo.

After the demonstration, we went into the restaurant and settled in for a delicious meal. Locally sourced, fresh ingredients provided the perfect dining experience for our lunch. We had an amazing potato salad fresh chicken and a carrot salad that was marinated with some kind of magical ingredient. It tasted fresh, satisfying, and completely hit the spot!

While we dined, we were treated with entertainment from a local folk singer and musician. He was so enchanting and thoroughly displayed the Irish charm as he engaged with all of our group. There were people dancing and singing together as we enjoyed his performance.

Upon exiting, we were able to purchase items made locally such as beautiful Aran Island scarves and wool slippers, jewelry, snacks, etc.

Visiting Glen Keen Farm was like stumbling on a hidden treasure. The staff was warm, hospitable and engaging. I highly recommend a visit!

What and excellent place. Friendly ownership, delicious food, amazing live music, beautiful dogs and fantastic display of what Fly, Liz and Jill do to herd the sheep. It's a must see place in Ireland, easily in my top 10 places to visit!

Keep up the great work!
