We arrived at this hotel, on a very cloudy Sunday evening. On entering there was no one to be seen, then a maid/cook (who spoke no English) appeared and we ascertained that they did not have our booking for 2 couples for the night. After a number of phone calls, it was determined that the owner had forgotten we were coming. Luckily there was plenty of room and we were invited to stay with the promise of a free bottle of wine with dinner to cover our inconvenience. The cook cooked us 4 steaks which were to die for. The room was a good size, comfortable bed and decent bathroom. On waking the next morning we were remanded with an amazing view of Villarica volcano over the lake.

We have given this hotel 3 stars only on the basis of our initial problems. It would normally deserve closer to 5 stars.

This is a very good quiet hotel. Great views, friendly and helpfull staff. Food is fantastic. The hotel is very clean and there is a good heating ( for winter days) As Panguipulli village is not very big go to the huilohuilo reserve for nice trekking!

Very nice, small hotel, little bit outside of the village. Great architecture and design. All rooms have fantastic lake view with huge windows. Friendlly staff, very good breakfast and diner. We enjoyed the trip along the lake.

Room Tip: All 7 rooms have the same lake view. no real preference

It's an amazing architecture!: The integration of the materials (wood, metal, windows), an overwhelming sight seen, good taste in decoration, and space distribution is breathtaking the moment you step in. This is the most beautiful boutique hotel I've visited in Chile on the country side.

Sadly, management is terrible:

1. Tried to overcharge me (confirmed the price by phone, but upon my arrival I was informed of a different price)
2. The hotel has no water. Literally. They have a system which requires the tanks to be refilled every couple of days. When we got there, they didn't have any water (the problem was solved 2 hours later)
3. Heating system does not work. They have heating devices and automatic control in each room. However, it does not work. Moreover, the system is shut-down over night (the heaters will turn off), so your will freeze on your room.
4. Next day shower is cold. Same problem, the water heater does not work, so you will get a very cold shower in the morning.
5. The hotel is abandoned during nighttime. They close the main door, and don't come back until next day at 9:00AM.

It's a beautiful place, amazing sight seen and spacious and beautifully decorated rooms. However, I would not recommend this place to anyone who expects to enjoy their stay with minimum standards.

Room Tip: Be sure to visit only in summer time.
