This place is a hidden treasure once you walk through the narrow pathway of boulders each side of you into a forest of boulders in various shapes and sizes. The best time to go is before 2pm as after it can get very busy along the paths. The mushroom is brilliant.
There is a little cafe with garden for a well needed drink. The small but quaint village has little cafes/ crepes and the lake is beautiful.
Parking is good nearby. My 11 and 12 year olds loved it.

This town and it's amazing countryside was our first introduction to this part of Brittany and we keep coming back. You can walk up or down the wooded valley with it's river and amazing rocks. You'll even be invited to try and move one of the biggest by standing on it. I believe it can be done. This is not for the faint hearted and keep a tight hold on small children. The town is lovely with a. Weekly market and a beautiful lake. Great Crepes too.

We visited recently - a group of 7 adults and 9 children.

We packed up high above the trembling rock.
The forest is very pretty and the stream and waterfalls were picturesque.
The map on the sign provided us with the locations of some of the different shaped boulders to find which the kids enjoyed.
There was a little cafe below the trembling rock - we didn’t go in but plenty did.

The forest is lovely to walk around and there are rivers and a lake in the small town too. The little town of Huelgoat is worth a visit too and there is a market every Thursday morning.

Have walked through these woods countless times after buying property in Brittany nearly 30 years ago. Always a treat, favourite walk is the Mare Aux Sangliers ( the boars pool ). From the trembling rock, grottos, massive boulders and beautiful trees it is a must to visit this forest if you are in the area.
