This little resto was recommended to us by a lovely waitress at a local bar (les Bains).
This is a small resort and we weren't expecting much in the way of cuisine but boy were we wrong.
The menu is small but exquisite, the waitresses smiling and attentive.
We both orderd the foie gras starter and were initially disappointed to be told it had run out so we ordered alternatives. Moments later two slim slices of foi gras with toast appeared "compliments of the chef"... what a treat!
Hubby took the chef's recommendation of home made terrine and I had the tartare of scalops - a mouth bomb of delight.
My husband had the sole menuire - delicate and cooked to perfection on the bone. My veal chop was grilled with a local cheese topping and a wonderful rich gravy. Portions were generous and the lightly steamed vegetables had great flavour.
We had no room for desert but enjoyed some fine calvados with our coffee.
At less than £100 for two with a good bottle of wine, this was very good vaule for money indeed.
