We thoroughly enjoyed our 11 nights in an apartment. They are spacious and very comfortable. There were over 20 of us staying here for the 2018 World Hot Air Balloon Championships and the staff did everything possible to keep us well cared for. The food is outstanding and we enjoyed the weekly theme. Really appreciated being served when we dragged in dead tired 5 minutes before closing. The grounds are beautiful and the wellness features are top notch. Within a short drive, there are many places to explore and visit.

Beside the noise of the river (great if you like that) it is really a quiet and remote place.
Nice Wellness area with a small pool and the possibility to swim in the Thaya. Cycling, paddling, walking, etc.
The little town of Raabs is a must as well.

Room tip: Ask for a room with a window to the river Thaya.

We took a walk to the little mountain to see the ruins of a former castle. Don´t expect too much - it´s basically a pile of stones in a quite nice landscape.

Much more appreciated is the restaurant. It´s run by an Australian cook who adds a little twist into the traditional dishes. It´s in the countryside so don´t expect fancy cuisine. We had fish in poppyseed crust and potatoes as a side. Delicious. Vegans can go for the zucchini linguini with tomatoes and herbs.

The staff is friendly and open to all questions - it´s really off the map but if you need a proper place to eat and stay i can definitely recommend this place.

We stayed there with our dog and appreciated the ideal surroundings for early morning and evening walks with a dog.
The hotel rooms are of average comfort but tv sets do not dispose of teletext.
Because of very bad receiving qualities one has to use the land-line phones.

Room Service showed some deficiences like not stocking up Kleenex boxes ,toilet paper etc.

Breakfast buffet is of average quality .Fruit Juices dispensers were not refilled for days..
Restaurant Service could be more attentive

Room tip: Opt for a room with a balcony. The sound of the nearby river Thaya may be a nuisance when sleeping with opened windows

We were staying there in November which is quiet season. Room was big enough for 4 of us, with balcony overlooking the river and the garden. The house in general seems to be rather old, renovations seem to have been made. The so called energy garden is a bit boring, but the location along the river is a highlight. Did some walking in the area and visited a few castles nearby. Dinner in the restaurant was surprisingly good. We took a la carte twice, prices and quality of food were good, the restaurant itself looks really nice. Breakfast also a bit on the boring side, everything you need is there, but tables are small and there is a lack of atmhosphere.
Did not use the swimming pool, wich is in the main building. All in all a nice few days in a really quiet part of Austria.
