After a snack at the Gamboa Rain Forest Resort (which consisted of fried chicken fingers, fried cheese sticks, and french fries as there is not a big selection), we headed to our launch. The boat was comfortable and not too crowded although there were other people with our group of 4. After a short ride under the bridge and out to the canal, we passed several container ships that were enormous. Then, we headed into the forest where we slowed down and eventually saw monkeys. First howler monkeys (who lived up to their name), then white faced monkeys, them small tamarin monkeys. The howlers were up in the trees, but the others came to the boat to check us out. made for some great pictures! We had a rainy ride back (but what do you expect from a rain forest). Great crew and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this trip if you are in Panama. Second only to the Miraflores locks.
