We went to Panama for our honeymoon. This was one of the excursions we did. The boat ride takes you on part of the canal. We saw a lot of monkeys and one even jumped on our boat. The only thing that was a little scary was our boat died while we were on the water but they were able to get it running again within a minute or two.

We went to Gamboa to visit the Embera Village and the conservation center. The rooms were large and each had a hammock on the balcony. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was also very large. The swimming pool is huge and felt wonderful. Unfortunately the swim up bar was not open even though there were lots of people around the pool. The staff was very friendly though.

The tour takes through the Chagress river and Panama canal. Nice view of passing by ships. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Saw howler monkeys and heard their terrifying roar from close distance. Fed some tiny monkeys which jumped into the boat.
In all tour worth the $$.

This trip takes you on part of the Canal so you get to the see the ships going through up close. The best part is seeing the wildlife the many different species of birds as well as a couple of different breeds of monkey. Yes they are fed by us humans from the boat but they are in their natural habitat for the most part. Good opportunity for photos. We were also lucky enough to see many baby alligators near to one of the monkey islands which was exciting.

The wildlife you see on this boat ride is only on a small man made island hosting a family of well fed and very used to human capuchin monkeys and a single howler monkey that was placed on the island.

Riding near the large cargo ships was impressive, but the rest of the trip felt scripted and fake.
