We stayed here for a week in July in a static caravan. The site is clean and the staff polite and helpful. The site is a brilliant base to visit the many seaside towns that are near and obviously Canterbury. Not too much for children to do though.

Stayed here for 3 nights mid August and it was great. Lovely generous pitches and a nice little swimming pool for the kids to enjoy. So much to do nearby (Margate, Broadstairs, Shopping Centre , Turner Gallery etc) that we didn't try out the onsite diner or entertainment. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
Showers were 'ok' , cleaner at some points than others and annoying 'push button' operation, but apart from that we liked it here and would definitely return.

Two Chimneys is not a fiver star site.
My husband, myself and 2 teenage daughters have visited lots of sites all over Europe with our caravan over the last 27 years, and i can honestly say i have never been more disappointed.
On arriving it wasn't apparent were the reception was, when my husband found it he was gone forever there was no organisation at all.

The toilet block was the biggest let down. I have MS and mobility is difficult, so i have to use a wheel chair. the disabled toilet was filthy with no facility to dry your hands and ground in grim on the floor.
The shower was even worse having to keep the shower button pressed throughout the whole shower. There was an anti-slip in the shower area but none in the changing area. I couldn't get my chair in the cubical as there just wasn't the room, luckily a very kind lady helped me in.

The litter around the whole site was awful, cigarette ends everywhere general rubbish there as even a old towel next to the toilet block that had been there that long it had begun to rot.

towards the end of our visit we realised why the toilet block was so dirty, the mops and cloths were dirtier than the items they were supposed to be cleaning.

If you have small children this is the site for you.

We have stayed in 2 star sites that have been much better than Two Chimneys.

The whole site needs a facelift including the staff. It needs to be bought into the twenty-first century.

Returned today from two nights stay in Two chimneys. The site is clean and tidy. We visited as a family but with three other family groups, they allocated us in neighbouring pitches as we requested which was lovely and at no extra cost. The toilets were clean - the showers were clean but could do with an upgrade as standing showering with one hand constantly on the shower button to get water makes it difficult to wash your hair lol, but I never expect much from campsites- I just like it to be clean, which this definitely was. There was plenty of space for the children to enjoy, outside little play parks and football goals. There is also an activity on daily such as archery for over 8's. The pool is a nice feature to have at a site and we loved buying produce from the very friendly local farmer who visits the site on his tractor in the morning and afternoon with a trailer of fruit, croissants etc. in fact we found all of the staff and other residents pleasant during our stay. This site is well placed for vists to some of the beautiful beaches in East Kent. Would definitely recommend and will be returning!

A great campsite, with great facilities, competitively priced, lots going on and the staff are great! Pool can get a bit busy so go early. Food at the cafe is reasonably priced and good quality. Close to all the beaches and seaside towns, don't miss Botany Bay.
