This restaurant was a surprisingly great find in a beautiful location opposite the river in Noosaville. We almost bypassed it purely based on the name which I have to say doesn't make it sound appealing but we are glad we didn't. The restaurant is quite beautifully decked out with many tables outside facing the river including some barstool dining options directly facing the river. The service was very good with a friendly waitress and also later on the owner. The menu was small but thoughtful, with a smattering of dishes from a variety of South-East Asian nations. The satay was particularly beautiful, as was the beef rendang. You could tell that each dish was made from scratch to order and did indeed have a lot of fresh vegetables and other ingredients. The $2 pp corkage was an unexpected surprise too! Helllo BYO, you still exist. Unfortunately despite having lots of Indonesian dishes on the menu, no one knew what sambal was, and would've been the perfect accompaniment to add a bit of spice to our meals. Still, great tasting food at a good price in a beautiful setting... will recommend and return.
