We stayed in september 2012 as honeymoon couples in this hotel. We are pleased very much. Hotel location is very cool. Trees are everywhere. You feel yourself in a jungle. Employees are very friendly and always has smile. Especially at snack bar near main pool, bartender Mr.Mesut and Mr.Berkay. I thank them very much for their great hospitality and nice cocktails. I recommend this hotel. We highly think here for  our future vacations.

Forget 5 star - it isn't. The rooms are fine and the common parts fine but they are more 3/4 star. Having said that the food is excellent, the value in terms of drinks, food, entertainment, free ice creams and extra treats like the cake shop and pancake house were brilliant. For us one of the great things was the over 16 adult restaurant, we have a 17 year old and are past wanting to sit with other peoples young children. There was an adult pool and an adult part of the beach and pier to sunbathe on. Brilliant. The town is full of amazing Roman ruins and is 5 minutes away by taxi. There are great bars and amazing handbag shops for your Pradas and Guccis. We were there at the height of the season so you did need to get up at 7am to reserve a sunbed if you wanted a particular spot. But once you got used to that it was easy to sleepwalk to where you wanted to sit and go back to bed!
If you go with the right mind set you will have brilliant food, great value and a relaxing holiday. We are critical and have high standards but it does what it says on the tin apart from having glamourous rooms and luxury common parts. Go, relax, enjoy.

Room Tip: The bungaloes near reception for 3 people (e.g. 2 x adult 1 x child) are in a great quiet location and big enough for 2 people. We even managed to change rooms in August so definately ask to change if your room is not to your liking.

We had read mixed reviews after mixed reviews and frankly I wasnt sure what to expect from this holiday. We had paid alot of money £1380 per person (there were two of us) and I was really concerned it would be awful.

We arrived at 11pm and check in was smooth. Taken to our Bunglow room in E block and it was beautiful! The room was basic, but we loved being in the gardens and away from the hustle and bustle of the resort. No complaints there! Maid service also very good!

Next morning we explored - the main block housed the dining rooms, and upstairs housed some of the guests. The al la carte's were dotted around the complex. Towards the sea was the main pool, beach club etc. The beach was beautiful! Sparking blue seas, and it was really clean!

Our favourite pool was the quiet one, and it came complete with its own bar.

Our opinions....

Resort itself? Definately 4* - sorry Thomsons but you have added too many stars for this resort.

Food - Again 4* lovely vegetarian options, but no shellfish, and the meat that was cooked a bit fatty for my taste. Al la carte's, all good apart from the Greek, we found the sevice dreadful with waiters piling new food on top of old. (what part of "please clear this away first" did you not understand?)
Perservere with the booking system if you can - as the regular dining room food is "samey"

Entertaiment - 5*! Excellent variety and top shows!

Drinks - 5* Really strong! Cocktails, and named uk brands so watch the hangovers in the heat!

Pools - 4* Good but some of the pool furniture is falling apart.

Cats...5* for caring. Lots of healthy looking cats around which the hotel TAKES CARE OF!
If you see one with a bit of ear missing it means its been nuetered, and they are all fed! If you ask nicely at reception they give you dried food for them!

Staff. 3* The majority are really friendly and do their best to help you. There is a lovely tall blonde lady in customer relations who was especially helpful. However there is a tall guy in there who was not.(you know who you are)
Also a big BOO to the head barman in the quiet pool bar who seemed to hate his job, and the guests. (Jobs worth who will not serve any drinks before 10am on the dot...unfriendly and rude) Not enough English speaking staff to cope in the dining areas.

Shops - There is a tacky small supermarket shop in the main building that was hell bent on ripping off UK guests. Tried to charge me nearly £10 for a packet of ciggy's.

Cede - Beautiful shopping within the ruins, and home to the temple of Apollo! Go there one night you wont regret it.However picked up some beautiful bling in CEDE, at Fantazi jewellers. (Thanks for discount and ride home!)

Thomsons trips 1* - be warned - we had a really bad experience here. It was a day trip to a "textile wharehouse" waterfalls and the market. It was bloody awful! Coach load upon coachload of people were taken here, thrust inside wearing armbands, and stuck here for 90 minutes! The clothes were very overpriced and of Primark standard. Then we were at beautiful waterfalls for just 30 minutes!!!!!!!!!!! Throughout the trip they try to fleece you for money ie only 1 soft drink you pay for the rest - market was hot and horrible.

Finally what made our holiday special was the other holiday makers! Love to all of you that made it special. Sam, Jan, Katie, Naomi, Alan, Ben, Dave, Val,Laura, Ian and Sam and all the other fantastic British people there. Also thank you to a wonderful paramedic Katie who was also staying there who looked after soo many people with cut fingers, stings, rashes etc.

Will we be back? Not a chance in hell but I am glad that we went!

Room Tip: Bunglow rooms in E block were perfect.

Whilst I agree with what has been said in other reveiws, when you have spent all that money you just have to decide to enjoy what you have got otherwise it just ruins the whole holiday.

Customer relations were useless when our friends we were travelling with didn't get the sea view room they had paid for, they told them to call Thomson in England (because there wasn't rep in sight), which they did, and they were told that the room they had looking at a tree at the back of the hotel in the dark was better than a sea view at the front!!

We found booking the restaraunts easy as long as you stayed in your room and did it at 9 o'clock on the dot. The French was disgusting, who has ever put beef bourguignon together with creamy tagliatelle, yuck!! The fish restaraunt was boring, just a piece of fish and some salad for the main. The Mexican was good but both choices of mains were tastless, you expect a bit of spice in a mexican. The Chinese was the best with the most friendly waiters.

The room was only just a four star. The bathroom was so small that you had to shut the door otherwise you couldn't move in it. Also if you are short or have a bad back like me you will struggle to get in the shower/bath. They have put this big framed glass door on the bath which on top of the height of the bath makes it very hard to climb over.

Breakfast food wasn't up to much, again tastless. The lunch down by the adult pool was good and the bar staff and waiters very friendly.

The grounds are immaculate, but your heart does sink when you first enter the hotels reception, this is when you start to realise you have paid for 5 star and got a 3 to 4 star. We stayed at the Cornelia Diamond in Belek last year and that was most definately 5 star, this hotel wasn't a patch on that and I can't understand why Thomson haven't worked it out themselves. I know a star rating is given on facilities and extras, but just because they have beach towels, toiletries and a poultry mini bar and safe in your room, if the rest clearly doesn't reach standard then it's not 5 star.

The entertainment was good as long as the band wasn't on. The lady singer definately wouldn't have even made it to boot camp on the X Factor, and it was 90% foreign songs. The DJ was good though and atmosphere was rocking.

All in all we had a great time because thats what we do when we are away, but I will seriously think about not using Thomason again, and I have 3 holidays a year with them. I do so much research before booking, but you can only go by what you have been told by Thomson and this certainly won't be visited by us again there is much much better out there.

Room Tip: Book a different hotel!!

Just returned from 2 weeks here but will not be going back. The Thomson rep told us it was Platinum due to all the facilites, but did not even make 4 **** by our reckoning.
Arrived late afternoon and was asked at reception if we wanted up or down stairs (we had paid extra for a bungalow room) and we also requested a quiet room, which is what we got. Room basic - had to get maintenance out twice but problem rectified - phone not working ( which we needed to book a la carte) and for noisy air con. We managed to get in to 4 a la cartes - fish was chaotic to say the least, Mexican was good, Italian good, French dark. Never managed to get to the Chinese even though tried every day (didn't seem to like a booking for only 2 people).
Adult beach area was our saving grace as other pools were so noisy but adult "quiet "area was next door to the neighbouring hotels childrens chute pool! We complained because the adult only beach club restaurant had children in it - we were told because the hotel was full they were letting children eat there! What's the point of it being an adults only area? One afternoon we both went up to this bar at different times and neither of us got served as was so busy and only 1 member of staff behind the bar. Too busy making fussy cocktails and coffees - also had to ask for water behind the bar - why not have them in fridges like other hotels do where we can help ourselves?
Only ate in adults restaurant - tables not cleared quickly, slow with serving drinks, food quality ok but sometimes not enough variety. Breakfast - couldn't get hot drinks as no cups put out by coffee machine (and all 3 of these next door to each other so long queues). Not enough tables for only 2 people whereas brochure shows all 2 seater tables. Just not enough staff in there.
Bars were quite basic - the one in reception (English) was just like a kids playground and not very comfy or welcoming. The hotel could do with a lovely bar which overlooks the sea with comfy seating - there was space for it.
The beach had quite large boulders under the water so not too good for getting out into the water - tricky for kids. The west side of Side doesn't seem to have this problem.
Russians (and Eastern Europeans) are possibly the most rudest and mannerless people around. Lots of them here - they seem to think they have the right to push in everywhere and they take so much food back to their tables and then seem to leave half ot it. One tip - find a table in the restaurant, claim it with a pair of sunglasses etc and then get your food.
Grounds were lovely and would be great with kids although the main pool seemed to have not an inch of space between the sun beds. Very crowded.
Didn't catch the evening entertainment as our Russian wasn't that good!
Weather was brilliant though!
Staff didn't appear to be very friendly - you were lucky if we got an "hallo" out of them most times.
We did tip the waitresses in the lobby bar when we first got there which seemed to help with the service! Dirty platers etc were left in our block for sometimes a whole day and we had a broken glass on the stairs which was left for 2 days.
We were told there were 2,000 guests - wow- just not enough staff to cope. Also the outside eating area in the adult rest was very small and soulless. We have been to much smaller all inclusive hotels where we managed to sit outside every night.
Customer relations - would be more helpful if they spoke English. There is a German cust rel lady called Katrin who is very helpful with good English who wrote all our comments down in her book so she could feed these back to manangement. Keep an eye open for her.
This holiday cost us alot of money - much more than previous all inclusives in Turkey with no where near as good service and facilities.

Room Tip: We were in E block overlooking hotel next door - very quiet right on edge of complex. From previous comments ww were dreading getting G block which was right by the funfair and laundry etc.
