We went here on a recommendation from a Greek friend and found ourselves in one of the best restaurants we have ever been to in Crete. Although busy on the night, the staff made us feel immediately welcome. We were shown to our table and the waiters appeared with bottled water, small bottles of raki and honey raki, bread, dips and of course the menus. The starters of cougette balls, deep fried mushrooms, fava, spicy cheese dip, wild greens and a large salad were with us in no time. The main courses of chicken in cognac, lamb in honey, chicken kebab, lamb chops and two vegetarian briam were amongst the best we have ever eaten and the portion sizes are more than generous. All the food we had was superb, the local wine very drinkable and the raki free flowing, all this for less than 20 euros each. However, it's the staff that really make this a restaurant not to miss!!!
