We came across this place by accident when driving back to our holiday let after a very long day out. Decided to eat out instead of the original BBQ plan as time ticking on. So glad we did. It was excellent and best meal out we have had in 3 weeks of travelling around Greece. Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff that speak good English. I had Tuna souvlaki and was delicious and my husband enjoyed the rabbit. They do not take credit cards but meal with wine, beers and water was only 35 euros. Nice menu and spilt for choice and some veggie options too.

The restaurant has new colors, it looks fresh and inviting. We had Cretan salad, the best saganaki of the entire island (made of real graviera and not cheap saganaki-cheese), tzatsiki, macaroni with siglina, rooster in wine, all very good. They know to pick the best quality ingredients from the local producers. It makes them special. And music was also enjoyable as well as the service.

Among the best food we had on our visit to Crete. Authentic, full flavoured renditions of the favourites, as well as some we hadn't seen before. Our group of 6, including vegetarians, and vegans, at handsomely for about 10 euro per person. Thoroughly recommended!

I have had a meal here on a number of occasions over the last few years and the food is always good. The organic beer from Rethymnon is not found on the menu of many local tavernas and is certainly worth trying. The taverna can be busy from 8 pm onwards so it may be advisable to get there a little early. In the height of the tourist season,July and August, this means that service can be a little slow. With a few extra staff this taverna would rate an excellent review in my opinion but it is still very good. I have to mention the pork and peppers in the oven which is absolutely delicious. The food is well prepared, tasty and not too expensive. Do try it!

After driving past this restaurant we decided Saturday night we would try it out.It was busy but chaotic, we were seated and it was on the point of getting up and leaving after almost 15 min before anyone approached us to take an order. Admittedly we were given a bottle of warm water as we were seated but we watched as tables were cleared and relaid yet no one took our order.
Eventually we ordered main course, oven roasted pork and spahgetti bolognese, after requesting Mythos beer we were asked if we would like a draught beer from Chania, no thank you Mythos then the waiter almost insisted we had this draught beer, we settled with Mythos. Then we were advised that there was no bolognese so a spahgetti with roasted vegetables and cheese was requested.
When the food arrived the pork had a soft skin, I expected a crispy crackling, the vegetables spaghetti looked uninviting and just as uninviting to eat it was left almost untouched.
This restaurant is right by the road side and local lads on scooters and bikes zipped up and down leaving a smell of two stroke oil and petrol fumes, not quite the atmosphere we expected.
We paid our bill and left. It was a bad experience, poor service, poor food and a total waste of money, dont waste yours.
