Just returned from a weeks stay here.
The hotel is nice inside and out but certain areas need updating I.e the bathrooms need modernising as does the water supply which has a tendency to run out while your showering. Also on every balcony there are birds nest's above the patio doors which results in bird poo falling from the nest this isn't really a problem as it is cleaned every day but I do think the hotel should leave a broom and dust pan just so you can do it yourself.
The location is perfect set on a lovely
Beach which is shallow for a good distance also with water sports available aswell.
The food wasn't that great but it's all inclusive so never going to be gormet cuisine but there are plenty of nice and cheap restaurants a short walk from hotel.
Staff are friendly aswell.
Would we stay here again yes we would as it's pretty much perfect for kids

Just got home from a week at the Alykanas Village hotel booked through Tui. On booking a holiday, we always take the transfer time into account, and this was stated to be a 50 min transfer. Not for us!! We finally got off the coach after an hour and 40 minutes. Check in was fast and we had a nice room overlooking the main pool.
We had some major positives and major negatives during our stay so I will start with the negatives.
The female Tui rep on site was awful. Really seemed like she couldn’t be bothered. We tried to book a trip and she didn’t even come to tell us that she hadn’t managed to get us on due to lack of spaces! This ended up working in our favour as we did the same trip for half the price by booking it outside of the hotel. She also completely blanked us and walked away one day as we stood waiting to talk to her. One of the kids club reps saw this happen and went to get her back for us.
The food can be a bit hit and miss. If you are fussy then you may struggle here. The quality of the food is ok, you just may have a very random variation of items on your plate.
And lastly the bathrooms. These desperately need updating. The showers are extremely dated and you are not guaranteed hot water.
Right, the positives. The hotel staff are amazing! They can’t do enough for you and always have a smile on their faces. They make it a pleasure to be there.
The pools and hotel are spotlessly clean. And the view from the pool overlooking Alykanas beach looking out to Kefalonia is stunning.
Alykanas beach is out of this world, the sea is shallow for a long way out, and if you get a chance, take out a bread roll or banana with you to feed the fish.
The hotel location is also really good. There are lots of very good restaurants and shops in the area if you fancy venturing out.
One last thing, the beds and pillows are so comfortable! It’s the one time I have been away from home and not missed my own bed.
Would I return? Yes, but only when the bathrooms have been updated!

Ignore all the bad complaints about this hotel, just got back and i have found it to be one of the best hotels we have stayed in. We stayed May 2018 it was a really good holiday, every thing about the hotel was more than we expected, after reading the reviews.
We are a couple who have three holidays a year,so we know what we re talking about,i would return here again, especially to sample the hotel beer as it was excellent

Room Tip: The new block next to the restaurant, has its own pool

Stayed here with family - very poor quality - needs updating - old and tired - had to fix toilet twice - had a bath and all back up flooding bathroom thru grill in floor - good lukewarm thank goodness they had a microwave - supposed to be a family place but not allowed on stuff in splash pool due to health and safety - joke as blokes using diggers outside in flip flops - will not return

We stay at this hotel. All rooms have a view either of swimming pool or the sea with Kefalonia in distance. Rooms were clean. The cleaners were very friendly and helpful. There is a receptionist service 24 hours and they are happy to help with everything. There are 8 pools and some of them with sea view. Open bar is basic but the staff will go an extra mile to satisfy your need. This hotel is suitable for families with young kids because the deepest pool is 1.4 m deep and there is a little splash park and play park. Evening entertainment is more for the kids than adults but if you are not big on drinking there is a lovely couple who will sing songs in the evening, but there are a bars couple of metres from the hotel. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.
