Following a recommendation by a local we tried this restaurant tonight instead of the local 4* Hotel we were staying at.

Surprise the fish of the day was Tuna! Fantastic and a huge portion. I tried the ribs and was not disappointed. Tasty vegetables and salad as we although the brushstta was cheeses and tomatoes on toast.

No more cod fish
But they proposed « alfonsino » or « red fish » which is dorade rouge. Fresh fish catched un the Atlantic océan between Spain/ Portugal and Açores. Very fresh, vert good. Thank you !

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay in Furnas. The food is exceptional. I recommend the goats cheese to start and the bruschetta. We tried the cod and the pork dishes for mains. Both were delicious. Portion sizes are quite big so you definitely leave feeling very satisfied! If you're in Furnas give this restaurant a go!
