Advanced reservations for the delicious stew are required and definitely worth it. We loved the delicious and unique stew and the tuna steak dinner was amazing too. Highly recommend this great dining experience. Request a seat on the balcony if possible.

This meat dish cooked under ground was served family style and enjoyed by our group. The only spice added to root vegetables and chorizo meat and blood sausage seasoned chicken beef and pork was salt. It still had a great smoky taste.
The grilled octopus also had favorable reviews by those in our group who like it.
Skip dessert though.

We have been by Tony’s for lunch, together with my wife and 2 years old kid.

We took a couple of dishes (squid and other see food), plus a fish fillet for babies. This latter one was really bad, low quality; other dishes were ok, instead.

Price was good, like for all places here around.

I would not recommend this place for its food quality, but was even not too bad.

At the time we went there, the place was really crowded, with a lot of noise.

A big dining hall, lighted with fluorescent lights.
The vegetarian pasta was a big no-no. Bland and uninspired.
Tony's steak is also not recommended. Again bland and coarse.
Half the desert list is from Unilever offering ready made ice creams and plastic wrapped tiramisu and the likes. Even the 'home made' chocolate mousse was lacking.
The olives where nice and the wine okay and reasonably priced.
One can do better in Furnas

Very busy restaurant, able to book just 1h in advance, we were very lucky. The place was full, but service was very quick and efficient. The food was typical Portuguese. Didn't had to order in advance for the cozido da Caldeira made in the Furnas. Portion for two people will be able to feed 4 people, meats very tender and tasty. Had a kima drink ( traditional azorean drink made of passion fruit, which I recommend) and the desserts were delicious, we had a pinneaple slice and passion fruit pudding. Very reasonable price for the amount of food and quality. Payed a total of 38€ including starters, main, drinks, desserts and one coffee. Definitely recommend to try it, good value for money.
