We visited Miroma twice for our evening meal. Although out of peak season the menu choices were broad enough for all tastes. We had vegetable soup to start (€1.50!) and for mains my wife chose the "Legendary chicken" which the menu warned would take 30 minutes but which arrived within 5 minutes. On this occasion "legendary" might more correctly have been termed "slightly dry". However the accompanying salad was excellent, fresh and well presented. Guided by the waiter, I chose the grilled fresh tuna, which was superb, served with a garlic and onion sauce, and a mass of sauteed vegetables. The waiter took time to select an excellent local Azorean white wine (€12 / bottle!) which was the perfect accompaniment. (We noted with some amusement a Portuguese white wine which rejoiced in the name of "BSE". This however played no part in our menu selection.) For dessert we chose fresh pineapple, and the home-made pineapple mousse, both very good. With bottled water, and coffees to finish, the total bill for 2 came to an unbeatable €45. Indeed so good was it that we returned on the following evening for a repeat performance which was just as good! On both occasions the service was prompt, and very welcoming. Ate logo!
