We were told that this was the best place in Furnas for pizza. They use a wood fired oven. The atmosphere is pleasant, sort of Italian themed, and there are two large seating areas, one inside and one on an enclosed terrace. We ordered a pizza, and when it came it was the wrong type. The staff apologized profusely, told us we could snack on it until the right pizza was cooked. The pizza was good, thin crust, with fresh oregano sprinkled on it just before it was served. The wine list is okay, and the hot apple fritter with hot toffee sauce and ice cream was fantastic. When we went to pay with VISA, the machine would not connect to the internet, so we had to pay cash. Good thing we grabbed a few Euros before heading out for the evening. The hotel is a pleasant stroll from anywhere in town, so you can have a nice stroll home after dinner.

Had a number of meals there on my 3 stays at the Furnas Boutique Hotel. Food and service were always excellent. One of their specialties are pizzas which are very tasty. Extensive wine list. Beautiful surroundings of the hotel property.

We dined here several times over our week visit to the adjoining hotel. We loved everything we ate and the wine was delicious and very reasonably priced. They even brought it to our room one night on a beautiful spread out setting for no extra charge. The service was great and you have to try the cheese pizza with local cheese. Sitting outside even in December was cozy and beautiful with the plants and lights. They even have heaters and blankets if you need them and leather couches to snuggle in. When we come back we cant wait to spend more time at this restaurant.

The restaurant of the Furnas Boutique Hotel and possibly the best place to eat in town. We ate here on each of the 3 nights of our stay and enjoyed each and every meal.

We went here twice during our stay in Furnas (at the "other" fancy hotel). First time was for Pizza since they have a wood-fired pizza oven. The selection of Pizzas and available toppings could be improved but overall we were very happy for a change from standard traditional local fare.
Second time was grilled tuna (good) and the chicken (exceptional !!). The chicken was the most tender and tasty grilled chicken I've had so far in any restaurant. It comes with banana chips and a banana (green bananas, not the sweet ones) sauce that is simply to die for.
Prices for food and drinks are ok and definitely more affordable than at the "other" hotel-restaurant. Overall I would say I preferred A Terra to its competition.
