Panos (the owner) was there to greet us when we arrived. The apartments are in a lovely, quiet location, within a 2 min walk to the beach and a 10 min walk to the village. The apartments are clean, tastfully furnished and have a good range of facilities. The views from the 2 terraces are gorgeous, 1 looks at the hills and 1 at the sea. Panos was infomative and helpful, but not intrusive, the perfect host.
The village of Mikri Vigla is lovely, with a handful of restaurants and tavernas and a small supermarket, everybody speaks English and are very friendly and the area is safe. The beaches are clean and sandy and there are lots of getaway locations, where you can be by yourself.
Naxos port is a 20 min drive away and you can explore the whole of the island from this lovely location.
All in all an great holiday apartment in a very pictureque setting!.

Excellent Location, Excellent Hosts
We stayed for 10 days in mid September. If you are looking for relaxation, sun and sand then this is your spot. There are several local restaurants, a market, a bakery, car rental, kite surfing all within walking distance. There are so many little private spots at the beach it is like your own private waterfront property. We walked the entire beach from Orkos to Plaka on a couple occasions.
Panos was an excellent host and clearly proud of his country and property. It is very well maintained and he had many recommendations for sights and things to do in Naxos.
If you plan to lay on the beach the whole time you need nothing else. With the exception of the white sand, some of the Naxos beaches rival Veradero, Cuba. If you want to discover Naxos then you will want a car, 4-wheeler, scooter or dune buggy. All are available. Chora and the port are about 20 minutes away by car. The airport is in between Orkos and Chora. If you are looking for shopping, more options for restaurants or an excursion leaving the port then you can be in Chora in short order but avoid the businesses of it day-to-day by staying in Orkos.
The apartment was dead quiet at night. The 3 balconies let you sit outside at night and enjoy the sunset and the local wine. We had all the amenities you needed for our 10-day stay at the apartment.
I would recommend Panos' properties and this location in particular in a heartbeat. I would definitely return. I owe Panos a picture of our Canadian winters to which I don't look forward. I will need the warm thoughts of our stay here to get me through.

Fantastic apartment and lovely hosts!
We had a wonderful time at Orkos Sunset apartments. Panos was extremely helpful and friendly already before our stay, providing us with a lot of useful information on how to reach the island and Mikri Vigla, as well as on the ferry boats and car rental options. The apartment is very nice and easily hosts 3 persons, and the greatest feature is that it has three terraces, which allow you to always find a sunny (and wind-sheltered) corner. The apartment is close to several great beaches, and Mikri Vigla features some small nice restaurants (Kontos!).
We absolutely recommend Orkos Sunset and Panos, and hope to be back one day!

The beauty of the nature is excellent and the combination of sea and the small hills perfect.
There is too much light in the area and a fantastic sky during the night full of stars.
There are 2 markets,cafe and restaurants.
Mikri Vigla offers safe conditions for kite surfing and surfing.
Getting around
Naxos is the lagest island of Cyclades and has so many beauties.
Guests have to visit the villages on the mountains.
In order to see most of them a car is recommended.
