Incontro was situated on the ground floor of our apartment. We walked past this on a few occasions and were not tempted in because it didn't seem inviting. We thought we would try it as we saw a number of Spanish people eating there. We had pizzas one evening and on another my wife had fish and I had a steak. On both occasions the service was excellent and the food was good. The pizzas were prepared and cooked exactly as we like them with a thin crispy base. We were sitting right inside the restaurant and saw the pizzas being prepared. The kitchen was clean and the food was quickly prepared and served. The ambience inside the restaurant is a little lacking and not as well decorated as others. The plastic chairs and bare wooden tables from one perspective could be argued are quite "traditional" and not over fussy. The service was excellent and we were well catered for throughout our meal. The food is not expensive for the quality of our meal and was probably one of the cheapest we visited in a weeks stay. The restaurant is next to a large windsurfing shop on a side road leading from red square to the El Cabezo (big wave) beach not the town beach. Thank you Incontro for two very nice meals and excellent service. We will visit again when we are in El Medano again.
