Hard to rate among the limitations/restrictions related to Covid-19. Last stay 2,5 years ago. Compared to that, customer service has improved. The spa is okay, the restaurants were mostly closed. Accommodation in Peuratähti appartments is very nice. Beautiful lake scenery. Location 30 min from Jyväskylä convenient.

We have visited several times in Peurunka. Spa is quite small . Couple slides, one is quite big and nice for adults also. Breakfast has been ok always, but nothing special. Well, there is crepes which is not standard in Finland. There is only couple meters from hotel to lake. You can swim on the lake on summer. I recommend Peurantähti for accommondation. Last time we were in Peurunkarinne cottages. It was nice also, specially terrace, but kitchen was very very small. There is also physiotherapy and other special services available. Peurunka is well known senior rehabilitation facility so there is services related to that available more than other spas.
This hotel looks like is nowhere, not in a village even. But is it near a lake shore and this is all you need.
The hotel is nice, modern, rooms are pretty, but a bit confuzing to rerach your room as you have to pass trough some corridors. Staff is nice. For breakfast and dinner, the service was not so great, food was missing and you had to wait to refill.
We took a lovely walk in the afternoon on the lake shore, just behind the hotel. Amazing views.
Nice surroundings, take an after rally swim in the lake, sittning in the late afternoon sun on the small floating bridge NICE!!!!
Good brekfast and differens choises för dinner, Nice view from the restaruants.
Have not used the SPA but i belive tid Good, people are strolling around on their bathrobes and seems to enjoy life.
A mix of tung and old People, differens nationalities.
Been herr 4 times för the WCR rally, loking in a Nice appartment, no time för SPA, but sauna in all appartments.

As a current visitor I am quite irritated that a lot of the advertised facilities are not available - in particular the Apollo Bar has apparently been closed for some weeks and no member of staff has been able to advise why or when it will re-open for drinks and refreshments. Room servicing is casual and tends to be non-existent for many days in spite of requests for facilities. The Bistro Nemo (a poor substitute for the Apollo Bar) needs to employ more staff as waiting times for simple single items can, on occasion, be quite extended. But these are predominantly managerial policy concerns as most of the staff work hard and provide a friendly service. Peurunka has two gyms: one at the spa and another that looks more like a warehouse for old or broken equipment. Quite clearly the building, it's facilities and service capabilities need to be brought up to date and improved to match the claims made in advertising publications.
I arrived at 18.00 to check in to the spa hotel. The reception was poorly staffed, check-in took ages and the hotel public areas quite desolate. Of three eating/drinking options only one was available. The bar was closed. The restaurant had no visible staff and was full of empty tables leaving just a fast-food cafe offering sandwiches, pizzas and burgers. I joined four other patrons, ordered a salmon pizza but was disappointed since the salmon was barely detectable: maybe it should have been described as a red-onion pizza! To add insult to injury, the beer was as flat as the pizza but it was cold and wet! The cabin room was basic with no facilities for making tea/coffee, an empty (what looks like) mini bar cabinet and an even smaller fridge - but there was a hair drier in the bathroom. This may be a convenient stop-off for a one night stay, but the quality standards are a bit below what one associates with the usual Finnish Spa Hotels. Definitely second division and in fear of relegation.
