I was with a group touring Eastern Finland and we stayed one nignt in the Anttolanhovi Resort. This has been a sanatorium earlier, refurbished to a resort hotel. The location is beautiful direcly at the Saimaa lake shore.
The room was good, not very large but spotlessly clean, adequately equipped, good bathroom and a balcony towards the lake, magnificent view!
We had a nice dinner at the hotel, a buffet with mostly fish dishes. There were a couple of delicious varieties of "muikku" (vendace says Google), the typical small fish of the Saimaa lake. No fine dining but a pleasant tasty meal.
The bed was as such good but the covers were too heavy for summer and the ventilation weak, the room got stuffy. The breakfast was tasty but the staff were a bit slow in filling the empty trays.
This place can be recommended even for a longer stay if you are interested in nature, lake activities and hiking or biking.More
