“Perfect Wedding and Holiday at the Sandul Villa”

My partner and myself decided last year we were going to tie the knot and we decided on Sri Lanka for the location. I checked the legal side of things and paper work before hand and was quite easy to do. I spoke to several venues but after speaking to Senaka at the Sandul Villa our minds were made up. We quickly booked the dates for the villa before we missed out and Senaka suggested a traditional Sri Lanka Poruwa ceremony then the English spoken registrar to do the vows in the perfect surroundings of the Villa with the drummers and Kandyan dancers then a 5 Min ride to the beach where he has an elephant waiting for your perfect photos then a horse drawn cart back to the villa and the guests in decorated tuk tuks and the drummers and Kandyan dancers lead you back to the villa to continue with the celebrations and an amazing 5 course dinner whilst amazing fireworks going off into the night followed by a disco. I trusted Senaka to arrange the full wedding for us and WOW Senaka and the team at the Sandul Villa made it all happen better than i could imagine and being at the Villa it was all done so personally and so much attention to detail it really was a moving experience and was really nice how our family were joined by Senakas family on the day. We arrived as guests and left as friends. We had the wedding in the second week as by law you need to be in Sri Lanka for a week before you can be married which suited us fine as we could adjust to the warm weather and had some amazing days out which Senaka arranges for you and good value too. We also had two Tuk Tuk drivers just a phone call away Nishantha And Sanjeewa these guys were amazing would take you anywhere and wait all night to bring us back we all became good friends with them. The villa is amazing nice big cool rooms all with air con the pool is amazing and cleaned twice a day. My brother in law and myself would be first down before breakfast just having a coffee and enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the garden or just a swim. We have had the most amazing time at the Sandul Villa so thank you Senaka and family and the team that made it happen x

“Perfect holiday at Sandul Villa”

We stayed at Sandul Villa for more than two weeks in January and we enjoyed our stay a lot.
Mr Senaka arranged everything for us and was so helpful all the time, he also taught us about Sri Lankan traditions which was very appreciated. He arrange local sightseeing and a big birthday party with a great band, super nice barbeque and cake.
The food at the villa was very nice, it was also great that the meny was a great mix between Sri Lanka and Western food, we of course loved the local food. The breakfast was also great, fresh fruit every morning and different dishes again great mix between Sri Lanka and Western food.
It was also great that the villa had a pool, it was very appreciated by the kids.
We went to Bentota beach almost everyday, it only took a few minutes with tuc tuc and the beach was nice. We also went to local beach a few times for evening walks and aslo to buy some lovely sarongs by a nice lady.
We aslo tried good massage at the villa (MR Senaka arranged) and at Jasmine Spa.
We would really like time recommend Sandul Villa and its perfect for a big family or many friends. We wish we can go back soon!!!

“Very pleased with the stay”

We spent two weeks at Sandul Villa in January 2016 and we were more than satisfied. The house was perfect for our family. We were 8 adults and 6 children (including 2 toddlers and 1 baby). There was plenty of room for everybody. Senaka had even arranged cots for the youngest ones. We can´t agree more with other guests´ rewiews. Senaka, his family and his staff did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. They arranged a birthday party with BBQ and live music, served sumptuous breakfasts every day, cooked fantastic food. Mr. Senaka showed us around local stores where his family used to shop and organized Tuk-tuks to the beach every day. The swimming pool was also very much appreciated, not only by the children, who bathed almost all the time we were at the villa.
When one of the children became ill, Senaka called his family doctor and we got help within 10 minutes. Senaka also took us to a religious procession that went through local streets (called "Perahera") and to his temple for the full-moon ceremony. He constantly gave us tips about what was happening in Beruwala while we were there. The only reason we did not give this review 5 points is the fact that the hygiene in the kitchen did not have very high standards. Otherwise, we highly recommend this stay.

Thank you Senaka and family, we had an unforgettable vacation!

“Our best Holiday so far”
Reviewed 14 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

For our Holiday for December 2015, Sri Lanka was the first country on our list of destination and Sandul Villa was chosen as the vacation home due to the mainly to the size of our group, 7 noisy adults and 3 very active kids and a happy 9- month baby girl.

Dreaming about it now, I can positively say that our stay was simply “FANTASTIC” – beyond our expectation, thanks mostly to our ever attentive host Mr. Senaka and his wonderful team. Believe me, it is becoming increasing hard and difficult these days to find such place with such facilities as we did at Sandul Villa.

We cannot agree more with previous reviews about how fabulous the place, service and the food are. They are 100% correct, as you cannot expect more than what we actually experience.

From the very moment we arrived in Sri Lanka (first visit) Mr. Senaka was at the airport to greet us for the 2.5hrs journey to the villa. Because of our flight, we reach the villa quite late into the night, but to our surprise a very delicious Sri Lanka Dinner await us.

The curries especially were not to be missed. For the 6-days we spent there, every night we were treated like royalties from an extensive menu, and of course not forgetting breakfast. We mostly enjoy seafood.

The level of the service from Mr. Senaka and his team was really outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Our host even makes it his duty to organize and accompanies us on a special trip to Colombo one late afternoon to see an optician.
Probably the happiest person, in our group was my elderly son, who with no doubt got one birthday party of his lifetime. Seafood barbecue was the talk of the day with Sri Lanka live band, the cake, fancy lights, balloons, dancing, swimming, singing- it was indeed over the top.

The villa itself is a beauty. Very private, lust garden and diversify. Too add on, is the magnificent pool with waterfall and bright color light.

The roof-top terrace in the master bead room, overlooking the pool is the best I have experience so far. The beds are comfortable and provide a relaxing ambience and perfect night rest. The villa has good access to all you might want in the area, such as good restaurant, bar, shopping area, pharmacy and beach.

For short trips, we had 3 Tuk-Tuk for the group- what a treat- and a cool mini bus for longer trips to Colombo. All our drivers were reliable, honest and very wise on advice on what to and what not to do during our visit in Sri Lanka.

Our Stay at Sandul Villa has left us a very profound memory of Sri Lanka. A great experience

Many Thanks to you all
