What a fabulous hotel. Secluded and peaceful, we barely saw anybody whilst we were there. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. We arrived on the devastating Easter Sunday and social media had been blocked. The staff offered for us to use the phone to call home, and they contacted our tour operator and guide whilst we were there to sort out all of our arrangements. They arranged a tuk tuk for us to go to Galle, which is well worth a visit. Everyone that worked there was so lovely and helpful, and made us feel really well looked after. There were more staff than guests! We went watching one morning and they offered us a packed lunch or food on returning. We opted for food on return and it was made fresh for us.
From the outside the hotel is not much to look at but it's like a different world on the inside. The rooms are gorgeous and overlook the sea. You can have a bath with a view of the beach! They were immaculately clean and spacious. There was a pool to the back of our room that was warm and quiet, it felt like our own private pool. The beach itself stretched for miles, with lovely soft sand (just probably best to not go swimming as it was a little rough). They had a good selection of cocktails on offer that we would order and would be brought to us. You could use the hotel next door for dinner but we were a bit fed up of buffets so it was nice to be served a 3 course meal in our own hotel. Yes, the options are limited and some of the meals weren't exactly as described on the menu but most of the time we had the restaurant to ourselves (again overlooking the sea) and the food was tasty. If you want a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast you need to order it the night before but they were able to whip one up for me on the last day as I hadn't seen that. We had a fabulous stay here and would definitely recommend it! Special mention to Manaj who was super helpful and friendly during our stay! Couldn't have wished for anything better.

This hotel is right on the beach (though it is located near an effluent outlet so I wouldn’t recommend swimming). The outlook from breakfast and our room was amazing. Rooms are nice, though our ceiling fan wasn’t working. Límited offerings for the included breakfast. My friend had lobster for dinner and was vomiting the following day so maybe avoid that! Hotel is 30 minute drive from Galle so it wasn’t very convenient.
