This is a bit old property, rooms are basic but comfortable. As the name suggest the hotel has a long and very clean beach next to it. Also, the sea looks shallow in that area. However, the food was basic but worth the price. Hotel has two pools and the pool is spacious. We had a room at the far corner of the hotel and had to walk a bit to the main restaurant. Easy access to the hotel as it is just by the main road and can reach from Colombo via southern highway.

Very friendly hotel. Situated perfectly on beach. You need to be able to swim as Always waves. Restaurant amazing with food for all tastes. nimalthe food and beverage manager ensures absolute top rate service.Hotel a bit isolated but quality makes up for that.Few restaurants within walking distance.

This hotel used to be called Tisara Hotel, built in early 1980's as an extension to the still existing Koggala Beach Hotel. It is owned by the Saparamadu Family (a son-in-law of the famous author Martin Wickremasinghe who was a native of Koggala whose home has now been turned into a museum which is worth a visit, built it). Since the demise of Mr. Saparamadu the elder, his son Mohan runs it quite on the lines of his father and the family values continue to be maintained. The hotel stretches along a long white sandy beach. Our room was clean and spacious. An improvement in the maintenance is recommended as the rattan tats on the windows facing the sea in our room could not be opened properly and the A/C was noisy.
