This is a bit old property, rooms are basic but comfortable. As the name suggest the hotel has a long and very clean beach next to it. Also, the sea looks shallow in that area. However, the food was basic but worth the price. Hotel has two pools and the pool is spacious. We had a room at the far corner of the hotel and had to walk a bit to the main restaurant. Easy access to the hotel as it is just by the main road and can reach from Colombo via southern highway.

Room tip: Get a ground floor room close to the reception or the pool

Very friendly hotel. Situated perfectly on beach. You need to be able to swim as Always waves. Restaurant amazing with food for all tastes. nimalthe food and beverage manager ensures absolute top rate service.Hotel a bit isolated but quality makes up for that.Few restaurants within walking distance.

Room tip: Only 3stories high and all balconies face the sea.

This hotel used to be called Tisara Hotel, built in early 1980's as an extension to the still existing Koggala Beach Hotel. It is owned by the Saparamadu Family (a son-in-law of the famous author Martin Wickremasinghe who was a native of Koggala whose home has now been turned into a museum which is worth a visit, built it). Since the demise of Mr. Saparamadu the elder, his son Mohan runs it quite on the lines of his father and the family values continue to be maintained. The hotel stretches along a long white sandy beach. Our room was clean and spacious. An improvement in the maintenance is recommended as the rattan tats on the windows facing the sea in our room could not be opened properly and the A/C was noisy.

Room tip: All rooms face the sea. The elderly may ask for one closer to the main restaurant.

We were at The Long Mile Hotel koggala to celebrate a family birthday. It was a memorable time in an excellent environment.
The location was stunning, long beach.
We had drinks in the bar with senic views.
The buffet lunch was beyond our expectations Great selection of salads which my wife really enjoyed.
There are two pools. Would be looking to stay a night or two there next time .

This is the best property on the west cost of Sri Lanka and much better many other Luxury properties situated around it. It has a great spread of buffet. There are multiple restaurants. Two on higher floors, offer privacy in case you have club rooms. There is a professional chef heading the kitchen and that sets it apart from other luxury properties in that area. Rooms are spacious and are built to face the pool or beach. No one really needs to worry about a view. They focus on safety and they have trained lifeguards for the pool and out on the beach. They engage customers through activities such as beach volley ball, aerobics, games, etc. The spa is outstanding. The staff is very courteous, very helpful, the front desk is very professional and the property on the whole is gorgeous.
