Even the smallest details of been thought of from the chocolate chip cookies in the library to the amazing food and flowers in the rooms. We were a little worried that it wouldn't be kid-friendly, but the wonderful staff welcomed us all warmly and were happy to provide extra beds and kids' menus in the restaurants. We are so happy to have chosen Rocky's, it's really a jewel of a resort.

Hi, Thank you. Kid's friendly, sure we are, the kids club is perfect to keep them busy with activities like face painting so you can enjoy a nice lunch together or relax by the pool quietley.

We just didn't want to come home! From the minute we arrived we were bowled over by the beauty and tranquility of the whole place. The food was out of this world - and we are people who appreciate great food. We especially loved the barbecue and Thai nights in the Dining Room, and were lucky enough to be there for 2 of them! The cocktail party on a Friday is also a nice idea. Our room was fabulous, and wanted for nothing. There was even a beach bag, sun hats, flip flops & slippers for our use. There are flowers everywhere and these are tended to daily. The staff are friendly, efficient and helpful & greeted us with a smile without exception from security & ground staff through to management. It is hard to single anyone out but we found Poly & Pola to be perfect waitresses, Pie was also very attentive, Julien is excellent and very knowledgeable, Tien gave us plenty of great advice about where to go & things to see, and Cherry is just gorgeous! By the middle of our stay I felt like she was a friend, and was very sad to say goodbye. Oh, and not forgetting Boat and his Singapore Slings! This has been our best holiday ever and we cannot wait to return. Thank you Rocky's team.

Than you. And thank you for singling out our staff who gave you that little extra. It means so much to them. I will get this translated and posted on the staff canteen for all to see. They deserve a pat on the back.

My wife and I were looking for a break away from our regular working life. We wanted a place to just chill out and relax with a minimum of fuss. The staff and service was terrific right from the minute we set foot into reception. We were very pleased with our room and facilities. There was a semi private courtyard area with a cooling tropical garden. The layout of the resort with pools and a first class restaurant overlooking the private beach was fantastic. After spending three disappointing days in Bangkok as the start of our first holiday in Thailand and to then arrive at Rockys we thought we were in holiday heaven. We didn't necessarily go to Samui to shop but in relation to the return taxi fares to the resort we bargained with the drivers and got reasonable fare rates. Even if you paid full taxi fares its still not expensive. We had five meals at Rockys restaurant and found the view stunning, loved that the dining area spilled out onto the rocks overlooking the private beach and found all the dining room staff to be excellent. In fact all the staff from the groundskeeper through to the management were extremely helpful and obliging. They set our holiday back onto the track we anticipated that our holiday should be. I think it would be unfair to highlight any individual in this great team of staff. In summary my wife's description of our holiday at Rockys is style, class and beauty.

It is a fine hotel with a private beach. The view is wonderful. Every corner of the hotel is delicately decorated. It has three kayaks and you can paddle in the sea freely. The hotel location is slightly remote, about 10 min driving to Laimai, 30 min driving to C. Taxi fare is expensive, compared with that of Bangkok. It is 200B to Laimai, and 500B to Chaweng. Although there are free bus service three times to Laimai, one time to Chaweng per day, it is still a little inconvenient if you hope to take a walk to the street randomly at any time. But if you hope to stay at hotel and enjoy the beautiful scenery at most of the time, this hotel would be a good choice. There are two restaurants in this hotel. It costs about 1000 to 1500 B for each person. I had lobster and Tapas at Bistro, and the food was very good. The Tom Yum Goong of Bistro was very wonderful. I had 5 course set and 7 course set at the other restaurant, the dining room, but the food is not so good. For food, you can also walk out of the gate of the hotel, and turned left. Within 10 min walking distance, you will find a restrauant, on you left side. Its name is Krua Chao Baan. Its steamed king prawn and steamed crab are very delicious, and the price is cheaper. Most of the staffs are nice and helpful, esp Amm and Jack. But the dinning room manager, Julien, were not friendly when I was looking for my lost tripod. This hotel is famous for its good service. And that is why I go there. But I do not think his attitude is compatible with it. And that made me very uncomfortable.

Room Tip: beachfront room has a wounderful sea view

Sorry to hear you were disappointed, we all try so hard to make your holiday as perfect as we can. I'm sorry but you cannot blame Rocky's for the costs of taxis here, however it is different to Bangkok because here there are no return fares for them.

From my initial enquiry to check out, Rocky's service and attention to detail was impeccable. We are a family of 4 and stayed in a Junior Ocean View Suite which was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The rooms and every area of the resort was very clean and as the other reviews have stated, the staff are extremely warm and friendly. The food was fabulous and the lighting at nice was stunning. Nice touches such as chilled water by the pool and staff occassionally bought around fruit kebabs for a mid-morning snack which were quickly snapped up by the kids! The resort provides a complimentary shuttle into Lamai and Chaweng daily. The beach isn't as nice as Chaweng but the resort is quiet and we never had a problem with chairs by the 2 pools. We loved our time at Rocky's and didn't want to leave! Thanks for a memorable holiday Rocky's!
