Make sure you order the paella but you need to do this in advance when booking a table. It is fantastic and so authentic. This and a jug of sangria made for a lovely evening.

Very small restaurant so arrive early or sit in the alley outside. Worth it for great pizza. And they had the fabled 'wrinkly' potatoes, which a lot of supposedly Canarian restaurants don't.

Although a very attractive interior we chose to eat al fresco in the alley outside. Homemade lasagne was super as was the grilled fish of the day. The meal and the wine was really good value for money and outstanding quality. A pity we only found this restaurant on our last night or we would have visited more than once. We would certainly visit again.

Visited La Marea for the first time this year and was pleasantly surprised by the fresh fish ' John Dory ' served for 2 persons - pizza menu choice very popular in the restaurant and with many locals getting take-aways.

La Marea is a beautiful little restaurant which I visit quite frequently, whenever I am in Playa Santiago several times a year.
The food is always freshly cooked and the staff are friendly. Unfortunately, however, there are only few vegetarian and no vegan dishes on the menu but the chef is always happy to create something suitable for vegans. I thoroughly enjoy their vegan pizza but always ask for it to be a little spicy as Spanish food can be a little bland.
La Marea only opens in the evening and in order to avoid disappointment, I would recommend reserving a table.
