We lunch here twice last week. It is a rough and ready beach bar toilets a bit rough!

However the important things are the food and the service. Service is prompt and friendly but the food is genuinely good. Not fancy just good quality beach bar fare. Sardines are fabulous served with salted boiled potatoes and calamari very lightly fried. Wash it down with a couple of beers and get change from €25 what mor could you ask.

And you are sitting by the beach with the waves crashing in front of you. Superb.

Fabulous fresh seafood and super friendly welcome. Get in early if you want a table - this place is very popular with the locals.

Right on the beach - we were treated to mid lunch dolphin antics. Love this place - so much charm and honest food.

We visited this cafe following good reviews on trip advisor. It was very full with locals which is always a good sign. The place is quite basic but don't be put off the menu was quite short but all the food we had was fresh and delicious. The fresh fish, sea bass was lovely as were the squid and tuna croquettes.

La Chalana is little more than a beach bar but is great for lunch.
Its simple and basic with a relaxed atmosphere and good honest food.
The fact the locals use it is a positive sign and adds to the atmosphere.

The menu is mainly tapas style but do try the daily specials - we had cod as a special and it was one of the best pieces of fish I've ever eaten and cooked to perfection.

Worth finishing with a "Barraquito" - coffee layered with condensed milk and a shot of 43 licor.

When a restaurant is full of only local Spanish you know you've found a gem..
Fresh Tuna & sea bass were our choices with calamari...huge portions....amazing.
Great friendly service would absolutely recommend.
Doesn't look much from the outside but not to be missed!
