I struggle to understand how this can be categorised as a 4 star hotel, it certainly is not anywhere near any other 4 star I have stayed at.
Only two of the staff appeared to speak any English, with NO signs in any language other than Italian. It became clear that this hotel catered almost exclusively for Italian guests, the only non-Italians in the whole hotel were ourselves and I think one other English couple.
It is rather a surprise if they wish an international market they are not willing to make any attempt to communicate in any form. It was therefore left to us to use our basic Italian, and Google translate on my phone. When looking again at the positive comments on Trip Advisor, it is clear that they are all from Italian guests.
Satellite TV, 100% of channels were Italian (not even Sky news, or BBC news, or CNN). Out of several hundred channels available there was not one in any other language other than Italian. WiFi was advertised but we were advised that we would be very unlikely to get onto the system as it was always busy.
Breakfast coffee: We were directed to a floor standing vending machine.
Location and cleanliness were good, but I wouldn't return.More
