We visited this little town and found this small restaurant. The owner speaks good English and can explain the different dishes. The owners wife is also a very friendly and helpful lady. We had some wonderful dishes which we'd not tasted before. We commented on how good the food was and was introduced to a young lady who was the chef who also spoke good English. She is very creative and well trained and we were very glad we stopped here. Don't miss this restaurant!

I have been reading the reviews (in particular the negative ones) for this enoteca/restaurant in the centre of the village and cannot believe that the reviewers are referring to the same place where we and our dear friends eat for two nights. We had delicious and very innovative dishes (along with excellent wines as the enoteca has over 400 labels including local slections) and enjoyed the very pleasant owners Nazzareno who is the attentive and informative host, and Marilena who is the chef, and what a chef! The food can be Tuscan but with new interpretations of dishes such as the peposo, the pici (all the pasta is made by hand), baccalà, and others...all truly delicious. One of the antipasti/starters was made with shrimp that was so fresh we felt that we were at the sea and not near the mountain. The menu changes with the seasons and we look forward to going back for the castagne (chestnuts) and funghi (mushrooms) inspired dishes in the fall. We highly recommend this little enoteca/restaurant near the Monte Amiata area of Tuscany, a little known place for many but very much worth the trip.
